It wont affect us. Back in the day, when these were working we could kill NPCs just fine. I dont expect that to change. At worst, you die a little bit more often, which really isnt all that big of a deal. What will change is this boring, stale combat we've grown accustomed to. I cant tell you how sick I am of every NPC in the game running up to me and punching me. The game was alot more interesting when NPCs used specials, and thats what Im hoping will return with this patch: some excitement!

If you're buffed and/or have armor it won't be much of a change. If you're not then you'll need to be a little more careful. There's nothing like having a stormtrooper land a 700 dmg full charge shot to your head when you've only have 600 mind to ruin your day.

LOL I remembered a few times back in the day (distinctly during Cries of Alderaan Act 3 against some rebel NPCs on Endor) when an NPC I was beating would suddenly unleash some really nasty special and just blow me away. I just thought "now I know how they feel".

Shouldn't hurt us too much, no more than most. The only thing I hate about NPCs using specials is when you're driving along and an Evil Hermit one shots you as you pass.

NPCs get their specials fix, and yet again we get the shaft.
I love it.

Was just wondering if we are going to get shafted in this patch alot of the npc's are going to get harder, wich isnt bad in and of itself but we still have broken specials and insanly low damage output. There are some reports of people getting fan shotted by npc's with cdef pistols for 1200 points of damage am i going to try to play on thursday and get owned by everything or are we gonna get an adjust. What a dreary comment. Could be worse. Nothing is less fun than killing stormtroopers that just shot carbines. I mean its fun getting shot with bleeds and having grendades thrown at you. While to you this seems like a shalft to me this is a content fix that makes the gaming enviroment better for everyone.

Actually, as a ranged profession and pistoleers, we are better off than most of the others and least impacted by this change. The man thing being, we can stay at range from these npcs, and Dodge and our state defenses will help us avoid a lot of their specials.

Who knows...maybe they'll go insane and do something 'crazy' like fix disarming shot so it works vs. NPC's at least...

I hardly see how making combat more enjoyable and less stale for everyone can be considered a bad thing. This is a good change, dont change the topic into something its not. We all want pistoleer fixed, but complaining about it everytime they do something good for the game is just moronic in my opinion.

How will the NPC special fix affect us?
Speaking purely as a Pistoleer, normal enemies that were already for me (as a pistoleer) impossible or near-impossible, are now more-impossible and now lesser-enemies which were already time-consuming and life-threatening are now impossible. This means more trips to the cloning center because I still do not have abilities to counter 'specials.'
Hardly enjoyable.

Speaking as a Doctor, it might make it more fun for my meat-shield friends who have the ability to deal with their opponents.
My statement was "on-topic". It was just stated bitterly.
