You can use it if it is on your certification list. How exactly it gets there is a mystery. I have yet to speak to a zabrak who has the cert.

you sure you tried one that was made after the patch?

Zabrak here...no cert...but I use the gun for full damage..make absolutely sure its one made since the patch.

Zabrak too. No cert. And use it for 1" dmg


I tried it before, during and after patch, nothing changed.

Everyone using this gun (mine) can use it without the tiniest problem...I can't.

it definately has to be manufactured after patch, another theory is that you have to be in a faction (being overt or covert does not matter), reb or imp for it to work. are you neutral ?

I'm a neutral zabrak(however I was Rebel for a time simply to complete act 2) with no declared residence. No cert what so ever in my skillwindow but I can use the weapon fine. I am also a Master Pistoleer, Master Ranger, married, and had both guns(yeah I bought two) manufactured on Naboo. Starting city was that top right one on Corellia but I immediately moved to Bestine...and I've been playing since less than a week after live.

Skills are Master Ranger, Master Scout, Master Pistoleer, 1414 Marksman.

Perhaps the made on Naboo part is the key *shrugs*. But I've had no problems with either gun at all...I hit pretty darn hard with them.

I am factionned, overt or covert, married, inhabitant of a huge player town (well, will be huge in 4 weeks), and everything kinda common...

Some ppl can use it (the exact same gun, it is MINE that they can use) so the date of manufacturation doesn't seem to be the problem...

Add my name to the list of Still can't use Republic Blaster. my character is a twe'lek, has republic baster cert., butmy blaster I got from lady val quest and ALLof the republic basters on the bazzar say "cert: No".

I can use one. I had our WS make me one last night. Not bad! HAM costs are killer though. Higher than the DX2. I think those of you experiencing problems should have your favorite (or cheapest) weaponsmith cut you a new one...

I happened to obtain a Republic Blaster from the Emperor post-patch -- it did not work. Only the Blasters I bought from Weaponsmiths who made them post-patch worked.

I would not be surprised if Lady Valarian's Republic Blasters do not work post-patch, either.

So add that to the list of Republic Blaster bugs/concerns -- quest Republic Blasters, even those obtained post-patch, do not work.

Human, Master Ranger, 2-4-4-3 in Pistoleer and can use a post patch Blaster just fine. Certified for it also. Started on Talus, was on Corellia, back to Talus, rebel faction.

Will do. At this point, any response from the Devs would be great ... I've made a bunch of posts about it on Correspondent Forums already.

i have the cert listed under skills page, but the rbi bought today says not certified, BUT i can use it with no probs. nice little weapon.

this is a new one made since patch. i have an old one at home vader gave me @ the emp retreat. i'll try it later this week when i get home.
