It was sweet! My graul mauler was beating up on a rebel lieutenant when an Ancient graul decided to join the fight. I pulled out my Dx2 and started fanshotting them when all of the sudden TWO ancient grauls comes to aid him. I suspect i hit the graul lair as another graul joined the fight.

Luckily they all aggroed my pet so i put a quick bleed on all of them and started pounding away with fanshot. The first ancient went down like a house of cards and the other two had massive injuries and was easy to finnish of. The last graul had evaded my fanshots but was quick to follow his fallen brethren.

My graul was down to 75%hp when the fight was over and i was uninjured.

For the first time i actually felt a sense of power in this game.

And here I was so happy that I could take two stormtroopers out with stopping shot,......thanks for the buzz kill

So what you are saying is a CH can solo stuff?

How do you solo with a pet? Especially a pet that seems to have done most of the work? Sounds more like the pet soloed and had you for sidekick. If you take this as a flame, so be it, but I don't understand saying you "soloed" something when you didn't. Nice fighting, but not a "solo".

I will have to agree here. Solo means alone or by yourself. The pet was there, you soloed nothing.

However, I will confirm that fanshot is truly awesome if you get a bunch of dumb critters (or rebels) all gathered around the ankles of your pet. I can clobber voritors en masse with a DX2 and fanshot. However, if one of them decides to attack me, I'm dead meat

But yeah, that's not 'soloing', at all.

It's typically understood in SWG that solo means "without the aid of another player". So with pets, you're still soloing because you don't need another real person, not soloing by yourself without the aid of any kind of pet.

So you fired a few shots while hiding behind your pet.

Sounds like your pet would have been better off without you, you just pulled more MOB's into the fight and let you pocket monster do the dirty work.

bah - without him the pet would be dead - hell even 1 frenzied would kill his pet - he might have been in the back but the real work was done by him not by the pet. A CH alone can't kill anything.

I agree. I am myself a Master Gunfighter and Master CH today, so I know my pets die soon if I get incapped, so they need help. I can deliver 10 times more damage than any pet in the game in optimal conditions. Here is one example what happened yesterday.

I was taming grauls with my friends when we found a spawn area. My friend sent a rancor tokill a group of grauls(poor choice, but he doesn't listen to me ) There were about 6 grauls and frenzied grauls attacking poor rancor, which kinetic resistance is quite poor so HAM was dropping quickly. I got them all bleeding and then spammed fanshot and it really didn't take too long when all died almost the at same time. My friend was happy and said "I really like my rancor!" LOL! When I told him what really happened he dropped carbineer and is now getting pistol xp.

Sorry Tradskilz, that aint solo.

I can understand you being proud of your accomplishment, and congrats on that, but it wasnt a solo effort.

Well done anyway. Fanshot does rock.....when it hits the Health bar. :smileyveryhappy

Have to agree with the person who said Solo is without the Aid of another. He has put the rest of his points in CH and did solo.

I put my points into CM. I'm an MCM and a 4/2/4/3 Pistoleer. I spawned two Storm Trooper Camps with 4 Storm Troopers in each about 10m from each other.

With my FWG5 powered up 74-365 1.8 and my 6 Physicals buffed decently I tossed my first Area Poison (460 dmg/tick) and put on my Composite Helm...

The poison hit all 8 Stormies and now that the aggro bug on Faction enemies is fixed they all attacked. Ranged Enemies in a tight area and laid into them with fanshot.

3 went down fast, my mind bar stood at about 70%

2 more went down with the mind bar starting to hurt around 40%

1 more went down but not before he hit me with a bleed and my mind hovered in the 30% range.

1 more went down, and finally my health bar was starting to hurt, I hit a heal and saw my mind bar at 10%

Last one...I switched to Kip Up and raced him to see who would die first, regretting that I didn't indulge my Muon Gold craving....Desperation set in and I threw in a Stopping Shot.

So with the help of a simple bleed, a little buffing, and fan shot, I solo'd 8 Storm Troopers and lived to tell about it.
