Thread: Last ditch vs. Stopping shot

Just picked up stopping shot and it "seems" to me to do the same avg dmg as last ditch. So, my question to you is; Should I dump that line in the pistoleer branch and pick up the speed branch, or stay with it? Double Tap is very nice as it does more dmg as the std shot at about the same speed.

I would say keep the line that gives stopping shot, fan shot, double tap and Disarming shot 1, because of the Defense vs mods. They come in very handy if you are doing pvp. If PVP isnt your thing i would still think about keeping it because i know some creatures do status attacks like dizzy and posture changes.

why are there still threads on this, use the search button LAST DITCH > STOPPING SHOT > FAN SHOT



last ditch = most powerful pistol attack in the game. if you think it does the same damage you should look in your combat tab more carefully.

I did not search on it because I am fat, lazy and far to inconsiderate to do that. Besides, whith all the changes going on, I wasn't sure. So, I don't do PvP, so that's not an issue. I "might" do some later on, but there is still far too much that I want to see and do before I really get into that. Do the defensive checks really do work? There seemed to be some question about that in the pistoleer forum, but there is so much that is not quite working right at times it's hard to tell/remember what is what.

trust me, you'll be doing pvp soon enough. i havent shot a creature in like a week. ive capped at about 850 dmg on a last ditch in pvp while the opponent was standing. after lowblow ive hit middle 1000's. two shot incaps with lowblow/last ditch are a very real possibility.

Doesn't Last Ditch have a longer delay than stopping shot? I'm simply a pistoleer dabbler, right now I'm close to stopping shot but I would surrender it to go for last ditch if it is a lot better

im a master pistoleer master smuggler on ahazi. last ditch with 74 pistol speed is godly. ive beat dabbling stopping shotters in duels etc. last ditch is simply put a very very powerful attack. couple that with the boosted dmg of a kd'd opponent (after low blow) and you have a 2 shot incap. the wait in between shots isnt that bad if youve got some pistol speed, and watching you wreck all 3 ham bars of multiple opponents before they even start to hurt you because youre on neutron pixie kicks ass.

At Master Pistoleer speeds, last ditch is a 2 second per shot. Get a good gun. You'll be hell on wheels.

Let's say I get0/0/4/0 Smugglercombined with 0/0/0/4 Pistoleer, think that would be pretty good for a dabbler?

DEFENSES ARE TURNED OFF IN THE PISTOLEER LINE III.


That's right, defense against, stun, kd, dizzy, etc are turned off! They do NOT work. The TIMER is your defense. You can ONLY be kd ONCE every 30 seconds, even you have 100 opponents spamming KD shots on you.


I would rather take Line II & IV for the pistol mods to compliment the most powerful random ham pistol shot. The most devastating (not powerful) pistolshot is actually eye-shot from BHs. Only because it causes blind, and affects a non-healable pool.
