Thread: Another Petition: a pistoleer ranged KD / dizzy

it would be AWESOME to have a KD / dizzy shot. suddenly, we pistoleers would be uber in pvp, and we wouldn't need to waste 50ish skill points for smuggler pistols tree.
Everyone who thinks that there should be a new KD / dizzy special inserted into the pistoleer skill tree, sign here

i dunno. hopefully the working kind, although i really don't know if the devs are up to that much of a challenge

It'd make us just like every other uber profession out there. I'd rather see us have tactics that involved more than just KD/Dizzy and then spam HS2. That takes no skill or strategy or thinking. A macro could do all that. One thing many Pistoleers pride ourselves on is our ingenuity, inventiveness, and seat-of-our pants combative techniques. Sitting there spamming PMD2 for the KD/Dizzy effect takes all that away. It's just a FOTM "I WIN" button, in my opinion.
I don't think we need it. I'd be happy enough if PMD2 knocked your opponent down and then caused a delay like Panic Shot which stuckhim on the ground for a few seconds while we either ran away (if he was a superior opponent), or spammed his arse with Stopping Shot.
I think KD/Dizzy is cheap, and don't think we need it our profession tree.
Just my two-bits though. Hear what everyone else has to say too.

I don't think ANYONE deserves a kd/dizzy in one attack. Dizzy, maybe. What we really need is a blind attack.

I believe KD/dizzy is the intended role of carbineer in ranged combat (hence why they have area dizzy (full auto area 2) and an area KD attack (charge shot 2)).

I think this would not solve any problems. Id like to see us get away from the drop and flop mentality of PVP...

A dizzy attack would be nice, but the KD should be left to Low Blow. We definitely need an edge that we currently don't have in PvP (other than spd).
I'd like to see the striker a little more effective being that it's the only kenetic damage pistol out there.

i think dizzy/KD should drop you for only like 3-4 flops. . . . then ur up,.

The KD/Dizzy is really only a problem when you can never get up. If it was on a delay (10 sec timer) it would still be a powerful attack, just not so uberit isnt fair.
