Thread: Status Update
Hey guys, I just thought I'd let you know what's going on right now, based on what I know.
First of all, I don't have access to the Correspondent forum yet or the stuff on Test Center. Thunderheart said that will happen next week. Jaegen still has the Correspondenttitle on forums, but his access to the Correspondent forum has been removed, so for a few days we don't have any voice on there, which is too bad.
I assume, based on what I've seen over the past few days, that most of us agree that un-nerfing the FWG5 is our highest priority. I've already made a long post about the FWG5 on SWG Discussion:

Let's keep it bumped, if we can. Still no response from Thunderheart or the other Devs. I'll start a thread on the Correspondent forum as soon as I have access to it, which is hopefully before this patch goes live. If it looks like this nerf is going live before I get access to the Correspondent forum, I'll PM Thunderheart to get a response.
Aside from the FWG5, I'd like to let the Devs know that our defenses don't work and that their planned "upgrade" to our defenses is worthless, from our perspective. I spent hours yesterday testing Dodge, as well as testing the Blind state effect (from EyeShot) as a comparison. I'm sure the results will surprise none of you. I'm going through all the log files now in Microsoft Excel and I'll post the results in the next day or two. Hopefully by then I'll be able to make a sticky post.
Going forward, my assumption is that our priorities remain the same as they have been for months -- get our specials fixed, get the DX2 fixed, get speed fixed, etc. Since the Devs have never responded to our previous Reports, we'll be sending them the same requests over and over until they wake up and fix our profession.

Our primary concern is defintely the FWG5. And the laundry list of bugs from the past 3 months are still there as well.
You're on top of this stuff Philosopher, glad to see that.

Also, could you make a plead for a bigger diversity in guns?

The FWG5 doesn't need to be nerfed, the DX2 and the Republic blaster needs to be fixed, as well as the other screwed up things with our profession. I also think we should have Certification for all pistol weapons in the game, or else the Scatter and Launcher pistols need to be called something else.
Thanks Philosopher1976! Looks like you are right on track.
Wepps must be loving our absence for his nerf campaign...

Is there any information on the new speed cap, like weather or not that is going forward, or have they found a better way to fix speed?
No, unfortunately.
I have an idea for when you're submitted issues reports, and just repeating the same old stuff over and over.
For each item, and the end of the list, append a note for how long it's been on the list. For instance:
1) Bodyshot 3: does less damage per second than bodyshot 2, in most cases (First reported 18 weeks ago)
2) Point Blank Area 2: does not hit multiple targets (First reported 16 weeks ago)
etc.
Nice idea -- I really like that.

I see why you would think that unNERFing the FWG5 would be a priority, but wouldn't it be better to have them actually FIX the pistoleers signature weapon, the DX2. Bring it inline with the scatter, it's not a marksman weapon, it shouldn't be worse than marksman level weapons. If the DX2 was actually worth a **edit**, then most pistoleers couldn't care less about the Powerhandle removal of the FWG5.
