Scout. Right now (unless your server is WAY ahead of mine) it is by far the best.

Get a scout i have one thats sliced that is 60-122 with 1.3 speed. Really nasty little gun. Its kinnda stupid that a gun like that own a DX2 thats an elite class only weapon.

Welll, it boils down to what you're hunting. For all intensive purposes, a good scout blaster is your best bet. For some higher level mobs with crazy resists, your scout blaster won't make a dent, despite the numbers on your end. I'd highly recommend getting one of each for the different damage types. I'll give you an example: I was killing jaxes on endor (the really slow moving rabbit things), rather killing their lairs, but occaisonally I'd shoot one of them. I'd use chest shot and it would show that I hit for 400 something, but the number above its head only registered 100. Huge resist. I didn't take the time to examine it, but then I switched to the dx2 from my scout and it hit normal. The dx2 doesn't have great stats (the one I'm using is about 75-100 2.5 spd), but in that situation it made the damage incomparable to your high end scout (or fwg5) blaster. Just a little food for thought.

The one high point of an FWG5 is that it does heat damage and can get past several types of armor.... including ubese. As in Ubese is not effective against heat. I like mine... not very fast 3.4 but 34-156 isnt too bad.

Read my reply under pistoleer issues. It may help you decide to get both.

It won't be that way forever. The reason is that smiths have found VERY high quality materials to make scouts out of, but are forced to make DX2s out of crappy materials.

When really nice materials for DX2s finally spawn, expect nicer pistols.

I I equip a scout, but keep a DX2 with me. If I examine a creature and it has high energy resists but no acid resist, I switch. Makes a difference.

I have a FWG5 and a Scout that I alternate between based on the situation. I use scout solo and FWG5 in a group as speeds are similar on both guns its just the Scout has a narrower damage band and the FWG5 has a higher potential damage. In groups, the FWG5 makes more sense for me because with so many attacking I can deal with slightly more variability in my damage.

I'd like to geta well made DX2 though...its just that they basically don't exist yet. And yep, don't limit yourself to one gun.

Yep, that is what I do. Never limit yourself to one weapon.

I use:

DX2 74-114. 2.5spd 17.5 wound Not bad HAM, 29 42 12 If mem serves me.

DL44 42-16 2spd 14 wound HAM 11 31 11

FWG5 hardly use fer shooting but switch fer psitol whip.

I'm using a sliced fwg5 pistol, speed 2,4 @ 44-194 dmg.... sometimes big dmg variance, but i like it
