Thread: Royal Guard Tie bug
Hitbox is offset. You have to hit the upper hemisphere of the ball to kill him.
When is it going to be fixed? My guess is, not anytime Soon(tm). Sony doesnt have time for JTL bugfixes, they spend it all making jedicentric expansions so they can get more money out of you.
Actually, it's revenge for the rebels incessant crying to get our AT-STs nerfed to oblivion two years ago.

Seare is a nice guy. One of Bria's few cool people along with Treena etc. I think his post backfired thats all. Happens to me sometimes. If I spend too long writing a post and then click submit, it won't post and it'll appear blank..so I always copy my stuff before it is submitted so in this event, I can always edit the post and paste the text back in until it appears.

That turning speed only bites if you're spoiled by the new RotW ships, and you don't know how to adjust for it.
With the abuse I can pull off in a regular TIE Interceptor, I'm dying for the day the RGT is fixed and I can fly that. Rawr, rebels beware!

actully the royal guard tie fighter bites. At high speed it is great but at low speed it can not turn while slow.
the only good thing is the off set hit box. I would rather have a hvy tie with missils. you carry missils right?
Missiles = haxzoring. Can't shoot em, can't dodge em, and eff you and your chaff. Missiles are for those who can't aim.

I love to hear that. Keep in mind that it takes skill to not only get a lock, but also to avoid getting locked on. Getting tone on a fast mover like a JSF or A-wing with a good pilot is no easy task. In a 1 on 1 dogfight, if you get dusted by a missile that means you got out flown. Period. In a mass dogfight it's harder to avoid the lock but if you stay aware you can still do it. I know several A-wing and JSF pilots who have been able to avoid multiple missile locks for a very long period of time. Missiles are part of the game. Get used to them, learn not to get locked on or land. Pretty simple. In sapce...noone can hear you whine
As for the RGI bug it does hurt a bit and it would be nice to get a fix but I'm not going to hold my breath. However, if it ever does get fixed, don't think that is going to make an RGI any easier to hit. If you've got a good pilot running a level 10 engine you're still going to be in trouble. And the RGI isn't an easy ship to pilot...not as easy as the JSF/B-22 anyway. With lower mass, and weaker handling most pilots opt for the JSF/B-22. So chances are if you seean RGIafter the fix, that is going to be one skilled/insane pilot. Once the RGI bug gets fixed it will weed out the real Interceptor pilots from the 4xxx rookies.
And to the poster who said the RGI is revenge for our ATST nerf....good point. ![]()
Missiles are a bit a whack. I certainly won't cry if I get shot down by one in an even numbers fight, but a 1 second lock on time to a missile that can only be avoided by chaff (and lets face it, with the lag, half the time in a dogfight the missile hits you server side before your slient gives the warning) isn't my idea of fun or skill. I think if they gave you a slight chance to dodge or even just plainchanged the network code to garuntee you an accurate warning with time to chaff, it would be a much better system.
But it's certainly not game brakingly broken. IR2s have trouble breaking though most people's shields and other missiles have long enough lock-ons times to hopefully avoid them.
