Thread: How active is Space pvp on your sever?

I see sometimes two or three people talking on the forums about PvP encounters on Eclipse, I personally with myself being PvP flagged all the time I am up in do not find any PvP tho.
I've spend about 6 hours in eclipse deep space yesterday, ran into 2 overts. Both in a RGI, so not much fun to battle. Spend 3 hours there on tuesday, ran into 4 imps total with some interesting fights. It's there, but rare.
Trying to spend as much time as possible there. I'm hopingif imps find an opponent there they'll visit more often, which will hopefully attract some more rebs, which in turn... bla bla bla. Got to start somewhere.
the two biggest things space pvp needs are:
removing decay from all pvp not just inside DS.
and
a GCW tie-in.
honestly, i'd love to see a way to create factional control of the space lanes. capturable space stations and such, forcing special forces to fly to controled planets and gain control of the stations instead of simply traveling. tie it in with factional control of starports. and either move recruiters out of the static cities or have them match the faction that controls the city. basicaly assembling a space strike force to open the path to a ground invasion.

Thing is, I don't have AT ALL the time to spend 6h a day ingame, let alone in deepspace
To be honest, it's not that bad on Chilastra, because there are usually a decent amount of overts in Kessel or Deep Space (last couple days I went to Kessel there were 8!).
It's not real PvP though. It's just someone who is declared and FP grinding and then you just sneak up on em and blow em. We've never had a real, organized battle.
So far, it's planned for every Sunday night at 7:00pm EST. Personally, I had a blast, fisrt time I really felt like I was flying in a Star Wars universe.
Agreed, Feynan.
I've been spending a lot more time in both DS and Kessel, itchin' for a PvP fight. Chilastra seems pretty empty of space PvP, most of the time. I've only found one player in the last 2 days and I'm afraid to saythat he was a mercy kill, as he was onlyflying around in an Advanced TIE.
I've suggested to my PA that we try organizing a large PvP event on our server. The response was quite positive, but many are concerned that few Imps would show up because it seems thatmany of them feel nerfed and outclassedunless they are flying JSFs or RGTIEs. Personally, I find those ships to be just as easy to pwn, regardless of how they are outfitted, but this isonly based on my limited experience with Space PvP.
What would your PA think about such an event?
well ahazi is ok, once we had 4 rebels in DS at once (i'm rebel BTW) but only 1 imp, and we hunted him down ![]()
So the imp presence on ahazi is pretty weak, the pvp for imps is ok though ![]()

i only go overt when i head to DS to farm either parts or FP, when i am in DS most of the people i do "see" there are just there for the free repair. i'll see maybe 1 player an hour who actually stays in zone, half of which are same faction pilots. increasing the drop rates in DS might make the area more populated, it might not.

Great, no BF, no wounds in space, now no equipment degradation plus the new uberships! Where exactly would the challenge be in space.
