Thread: How active is Space pvp on your sever?

steadily improving on gorath. we have a sunday PVP event, with mediocre turnout now but turnout nonetheless. deep space on the server generally has at least 3 imperial pilots in the zone at nearly all times and you can't go a night without having to fight someone for control of the zone. occasionally the fights escalate to as much as 5 on 5 battles. generally the imperials are more organized and can more quickly put a squad together. there are alot of JSF/B22 pilots but you still see all sorts of ships in DS.

i expect as understanding of the credit potential DS holds increases, and more and more people get into the sunday competitions, PVP will ramp up even further.

I'm not sure Corbantis ever had much space activity. I really hope that changes at some point.

Starsider has tons of PvP... both in DS and in regular mass PvP battles outside of DS. I don't go to DS much except to loot farm, but I always run into at least 1 other player even if I am there for only 15 mins. the mass battle generally have about 15 - 20 people for each side.

Indeed, every time I've been to Deep Space on Starsider there have been other players there (which I run away from ). Its definately the place to go for PvP.

I was intent on it for awhile but changed my mind cause:

1.)Have alot of good parts that took me months to aquire. Item transfer isnt working, and i think id really regret this in the long run.

2.) Have too much time and effort invested in current server, and starting over from scratch sucks bantha balls.

3.) Kinda unhappy with PvP right now, and am a little burnt out on it.

4.) I work odd hours and sometimes cant login to very late at night. I miss peak times. I dont think it matters what server i play on, this is a problem no matter where i go.

I rolled up a new pilot on Starstrider just for fun, and had a blast leveling up without all of my support - although I do miss having a few guild shipwrights around. Haven't found much PvP yet though.

if you are Imp or freelance(non rebel on the ground) join BSA (shameless guild plug) we have two SW including Tomo and we always "represent" during the mass battles.

Yeah, Bloodfin has a really strong Space Based Rebel guild, United Pilots Allaince (they play a lot of other games like XWA, XvT, etc apparently). Their memebers are up in DS and overt all the time and they get other Rebel pilot's interested too. As an Imperial pilot I can almost always find someone to fight. With that and the new weekly events we started, I have seen a lot more Imperial pilots out flying too, from all different guilds.

Another great thing about Bloodfin space PvP is that all the pilots are really nice. This means a couple of things. First of all, they will help you out giving you advice on tactics, manuevers, and ship setups...even if you are an Imp and they are Rebel and visa versa. Second of all, if you kill them they will probably come back for more to get more experience. And if they kill you they will probably hang around for a few rematches to help make you better.

PvP is very honorable and it's common that when I port into DS and see that I am outnumbered 5 to 1, the Rebels will hold their fire and setup some duels through tells. The other day I even grouped up with them so we could all talk in geoup chat lol. It's really all about having fun and making everyone beter pilots than being a leet d00d like a lot of our ground PvP.

I'm a rebel on Starstrider - had to see how the other half lived. Know a good space faring rebel guild?

As far as rebels on Bloodfin - I have yet to see them want to fight me fairly, maybe you run into a different group. 3+ on 1 isn't uncommon. Doesn't bother me though, we are at war after all, and I can usually get one or two before they swamp me.

Primary problem with bria is quite simply one faction isnt intrested in space as much as the other.

Generally speaking from an organizational level,

Rebels tend to get into space with gusto and from the ones ive spoken with, are genuinly intrested in learning all they can.

Imperials, JTL is more like an occasional distraction, and are more intrested in being powerleveld to "ace" and dont really learn very much.

My silent hope is that someday, ill be able to have some influence in that situations reversal.

Odd, now that you say that, Bloodfin feels much the same way. While I was rebel I met lots of die hard pilots, as an Imperial we're usually scraping to get together a force. And many of the folks I've helped to Ace almost never fly again.

You know. Someone once said that the rest of the pilot community gets no support at all, and from a certain point of view its true. Its always, "come to starsider". Im gonna don my tinfoil hat and say some ppl got together and decided to put out an ad campaign to kill JTL and pvp on every server and try and corrall everyone into their home server. If that tinfoil hat consiparcy theory is true, i can't say i like that much.
