Man having a YT-2400 would be sweet for roleplaying a smuggler. Since the YT-1300 belongs to the nuetrals.

I dont see anything in your post that actually suggests anything abou thte YT2400. Its known its been in the TRE files for awhile, but all you said is that they said two new ships will be coming out, Its in the TRE files, and I want this to be true, nothing factual.

The devs said that one of the ships for the TRIAL OF OBI-WAN would be a multiplayer ship. There is sound and part files for the YT-2400 in the .tre files since Publish 17. I would think that it is very fair and obvious that the YT-2400 is the next ship. It is also a ship that is not faction significant like the Lamda shuttle would be or Gun Boat. The corvette I would say is a ways away.

I think that's really jumping to conclusions. Using that logic, I could say that next patch they'd be adding firespray and Falcon turbolaser sounds/effects to some of the MP ship components, but that's not the case... unfortuntely (they're in there too).
Given that the expansion seems to be focussing on the ancient (either the Kotor era republic or ancient Sith temples), I think it's much more likely we'll see a true relic ship (not just a 20 year old 'relic') of some sort.
There's no way I can see only the YT-2400 coming out in this expansion from a lore perspective, and I find it far more likely that when the YT-2400 is added, it'll be a crafted starship added via standard content patch anyways, since it's just a standard freighter and nothing all that special.

Unfortunately yes, it is. There is code in the .TRE files that has been in there unused for quite a long time. For instance, there are droid chassis in there that are nowhere to be seen in the game, but have been in the .TRE files since almost launch.
True, a logical conclusion could be drawn to the YT-2400 for a new expansion ship (and I really really hope so!), but it's all speculation until SOE announces it.

YT-2400 Not special? It is basicly an upgraded version of a YT-1300. I think it is bigger and has a much different design. It has more mass, and a much larger scale weapon system. Now how can that not be all that special? And I see the logic of it being related to the Clone Wars so maybe the new ship has something to do with the Clone Wars...? Or maybe it is just some cruiser with no weapon systems (which I believe it will be) and it will be just a worthless piece of scrap metal.

I really think it will be theYT-2400 too, but I'm trying not to get my hopes up. I've loved that ship since I first read and playedShadows of the Empire on the N64 way back when. The YT-2400 is easily the most requested ship by the fan base, plus the Devs have been dropping hints at it since JtL beta. If I recall correctly one of the Devs in a fairlyrecent chat or maybe a post even said we would be hearing more about the YT-2400 "soon", I wish I knew where I saw that, I'd post it up here.
As for all the nay-sayers saying we already have the YT-1300... You also have TIE Fighters, TIE Bombers, TIE Interceptors, A-Wings, X-wings, B-wings, Y-wings... this is all canon - the YT-2400 is shown, albiet briefly, leaving Mos Eisley in A New Hope Special Edition, that's a lot more than you can say for the Hutt and Black Sun fighters.

The YT-2400 has improved hull plating, power to spare, and additional space in the cargo and engine compartments. Thus, it was easily modified to accommodate larger engines and smuggling compartments. At 21 meters in length, the YT-2400 was also slightly smaller than its predecessors, although it had the capacity to transport up to six passengers and 150 metric tons of cargo. I don't think it will be the yt-2400. Thats my 2 cents, and my 2 cents are as good as anyone else's!
It just doesn't fit with the expansion, all the clone stuff, and the droid from kotor, unfortunatly I think it will be the ebon hawk. This is one of the last ships I would like to see in the game, I had hopes of obi-wans EP2 fighter, and the N1 fighter. Clearly those wont be included. I personnaly like the yt-2000 better, but, I don't fly pob's, so I really don't care either way.

I dont think so. Dev Stated ONE new ship. the yt2400 would be neutral Certed, no reason to give everyone the yt 2400if only neutral pilots has the yt1300. As they want us all buy it. they would get flamed for leaving Imp and Reb Pilots without a new toy. Id rather fear,.. if they add a KOTOR Droid: its a Kotor Ship... Could be the Ebon Hawk... Or one newPOB-Ship for each faction. but they said ONE new POB-Ship.
