Thread: Poor Poor FireSpray..........
The only people who stand to gain by still flying it are Imperials since their max mass single-seater comes out at ~172k.

Took the words right out of my mouth, although, if given the choice between a FS and an oppressor, i DO take the oppressor as i own both ships, but the 211K mass FS i made for myself remains in deed form as a desktop decoration in my toons house.
Whats the mass on the new elite POB components like? I forget....
I think it would be an equitable arrangement, if you could fit maybe 1-2 POB parts on a Firespray and still have room for standard components in the rest, to count them as "pob compatible" for those parts. If not, maybe give them a little mass boost so they're somewhere between large fighters (~200-250k) and full POBs (5M) They're still rare enough that it wouldnt be overpowered (like the easy-to-get JSF and Belbullab), and youd get to use some railguns or high powered shields to compensate for the sluggish handling and large hitbox to help give some incentive to try and find them.
Like they said, the KSE is not a fighter ![]()

I feel sorry for the TIE Bomber. Not even worth mention, that poor ship is. I'm almost tempted to create an alt on some distant server just to get pummeled in one of those in deepspace.

The firespray was killed with late beta / JTL launch, I and many others never saw a good reason to use it other than the boba-wannabe effect.

Heck, in this modern age of the B-22 and Eta-2, heavy fighters could probably use a more defined role, too. But it's particularly the bombers that need a role in the space game, and ideally, I'd hope an involving GCW would take care of that.

Dev's should have implement mass capacity per ship component slot. Then many problems would be resolved with much less struggle.
I'd prefer an innate damage reduction modifier based upon chassis mass, myself. But another way to do it is to bump the stats of the crated MKV shields. If they were about 60K mass with about 5000 hp front/back, it would enhance the survivability of the heavy fighters and bombers. (Ofcourse, it would make the Heavy X-Wing even more unbalanced than it currently is.)
