Thread: Post your ship!

I just spent most of the evening tricking out my Interceptor and figured it was time to show off my ships and hopefully get some others to post their stats as well. I've used various combinations of these parts in a Dune, Kihraxz, and Krayt but that was a while ago and I'm currently an Imperial Ace so I can't rebuild them and post those stats atm. Anyway, here's the current listing from the hangar.

TIE Interceptor (Ball of Destruction): This is my pvp build, currently running the Big 5 progs (ro3-eo3-co3-wo3-ctss4).

Reactor: REd lvl1 1162.0 mass 11309.2 gen (and it's 100 points in the red... due for a replacement someday)
Engine: REd lvl6 post-nerf "Inferno" 8757.8 mass 70.2/72.9/70.9 PYR 82.2 speed
Shield: Self-crafted Mk IV just for this build, 14823.9 mass 1814.4 HP front/back 11.37 recharge
Armor: Self-crafted again for this build, Mk I plate, front 149.4/139.5 ar/hp 642.2 mass, rear 140.4/135.3 ar/hp 642.2 mass. Duct tape and tinfoil all the way.
Capacitor: REd lvl2 1587.2 mass 1045.9 energy 35.7 recharge
Booster: Self-crafted yet again, useless token Mk I booster, 571.0 mass 979.9 energy 21.8 recharge 123.6 consumption 15.3 acc 12.0 speed
DI: REd Lvl1 prenerf, 505.1 mass 14.6 speed
Weapon*: REd Boltdriver in a MM case (lvl7), 14908.6 mass 1986.5-3071.6 dmg .630/.610 vs. 21.7 e/s .310 refire
Ordnance*: Self-crafted Mk II Image-rec, 5425.5 mass
CM: Self-crafted Chaff launcher, 861.5 mass

*All custom-crafted parts (shield, armor, booster, ordnance and CMs) were done with uber resources and full mass experiments to build the ship around this weapon-ordnance combo.

TIE Aggressor (Unbridled Aggression): My general-purpose ship: xp rides, pve, capitals, incidental pvp. Running eo4-wo3-co4-ctss4, because I can. This thing is the definition of "multirole" and my favorite ship to fly, hands-down.

Reactor: REd lvl8 21053.7 mass 51362.9 gen (not a typo; the key donors for this monster were freakish variations of a Freitek Powerhouse Mk3 and a Kuat RCT-Z)
Engine: Same equipment as the Interceptor
Shield: Crafted Mk IV 16861.8 mass 1849.5 HP front/back 12.43 recharge
Armor: REd lvl1, front 170.0/188.7 ar/hp 763.2 mass, rear 167.2/167.2 ar/hp 736.9 mass. Transparent under bright lighting
Capacitor: Same equipment as the Interceptor
Booster: REd lvl? 1249.0 mass 1530.1 energy 36.9 recharge 133.4 consumption 30.7 acc 23.4 speed
DI: Same equipment as the Interceptor
Weapon 1: REd lvl10 MM Elite 45686.6 mass 2833.5-4476.5 dmg .820/.700 vs. 22.8 e/s .380 refire. Currently collecting lvl10s to RE a 4600+ max dmg Armek Elite to replace this weapon.
Weapon 2: REd lvl4 Cygnus "Starblaster" 3915.8 mass 940.9-1325.6 dmg .649/.670 vs. 20.1 e/s .388 refire
Ordnance: Mk IV Proton, 15914.0 mass
CM: Same equipment as the Interceptor

So, what do the rest of you have?

-Evvo

Most threads like that have been focussed on one type of ship as most have really different specifications.

ok I am a bit confused since I am new to this space stuff...why are you using level 1 and 2 stuff when cert'ed for level 10? wouldn't you want the best of the best?

its a mass thing.

higher lvl=higher mass

the goal is to first fit you most uber weapon and engine, then cap and shield. (some players might reverse the shiield and engine)

then everything else you need just the min to let it run.

so ill use a mark I crafted reactor with overcharge upgrade to have engouh to power my craft with the "big 5" (i like that - way easlier than using all the shortened versions even ) if you need only X power, and a low mass will do it, no reason to use a high lvl reactor that takes up presious mass from the guns.

same thing with caps. u can even use a lvl 2 RE'd cap that hits 40 recharge with 1000 energy , enough for a decent boost to shields with cts4 - i have RE'd enough of those.

DI: use a bit slower one - i use a 21 speed (dont have any pre-nerf) on my x-wing to be able to fit inone each of lvl6,7 and 8 weapons totaling 9500 and something max damage pre-WO3. i cant do that if i use a faster, higher lvl, but heavier DI.

lets see, um, u can also cut your booster, as the above poster did. i use only re'd lvl 2 on my craft (except on the KSE - there i use the reward booster)

so there ya have it

Higher level doesn't always automatically mean "better" You need to learn to watch the stats as well as the level of the parts, because some of the best items are levels 1-6. For example, there's no need to use a huge Level 8 capacitor when you can often find a couple level2's one with high recharge, the other with high energy, and get them RE'd by a shipwright. The lvl8 would be 20times heavier, but not gain you much in terms of performance.

There are few hard and fast rules to follow, except this: watch stats compared with mass.

Nice builds. I don't know your energy needs, but you can probably get away with a ~10k generation ~800 mass reactor, maybe even ~9500 gen 700 mass. (At least until W03 finally gets fixed that is.) That would give you the space to put in a better mark 1 booster or maybe something else. Is your chassis mass close to 51k?

I wish I had your L8 reactor, although I'm not sure why you'd need that much generation if you are not running E04. A 14k gen 7.5k mass Mark 3 reactor give you 26k of energy if you run R04. That would give you the mass to upgrade your shield or second weapon.

I do run eo4 on that reactor (along with co4 and wo3), and my Aggie is nearly 121k mass. It fits in just fine and there's really nothing else I need to spend the mass on. I have a lvl10 weapon and a mk4 prot launcher in there, the Mk IV shields are just fine since I'm small enough to avoid hits (and it took punishment well enough to be standard equipment on my Krayt as well), and I've been loath to use ro4 since it disabled everything up to the DI in my Rihk the one and only time I used it.

For the Int, I'm 100 points in the red on energy right now, running at just under 50k mass on a 50,695 mass chassis. Though if I could get ro4 to work I do have an REd lvl3 reactor at 14k gen and 3k mass in the shop somewhere... now only to make room for it... doubt it could be done

I may not be the most qualified to suggest this, but you should be able craft (if you're the shipwright McFeely on the Galactive Shipwright list heh) some lvl3 armor that gets 600+ on armor (mine is 630ish) to give some little additional protection for the same mass

Also, why not exchange your crafted lvl5 Ion with a quick shot enhanced version of the same? damage difference though not negligible, is not all that much, and your refire can be sub-0.28 instead of 0.33. (I personally use 2 lvl7 quick shot weapons on my duneliz, about 29k mass total for both -- waiting to RE my reward weaps heh) Do you find the benefit from using the borstal better than mass savings of two lvl7 crafted?

Have you tried running this setup with a lvl1 (12k+ gen) on RO4? Might be able to save yourself even more mass--dunno if that'll be enough to run it though. I also use a RE'd lvl2 booster, prolly best bang for the buck (mass) for boosters.

Nice mass on that reward shield, by the way.

Yup thats me... and you right about the quickshot Ion and infact that was my first idea for the second weapon slot I just don't have the crazy new resource to make one atm lol. I did have lvl 3 crafted armor in there at one point I think I took it to fit other stuff in and either just have not replaced them.

I normally keep my borstal in my krayt but I haven't been flying it as much and poppedit in there because I like the extra punch. I actually had two Max damage Crafted 7's in there about 3 weeks ago. My server is not really a space or space PvP server. Most of the time when I actually run into a ship its an MP ship taking a "tour group" up to see the star destroyer. I enjoy reminding them very quickly that this is a PvP Zone not the Monorail at Walt Disney world.

I've been looking for a better booster just haven't run into one I like. Yet I have a decent one but there is no graphic when I load it (I know shouldn't matter but it looks crappy to me). Plus I like the energy on the lvl 4 one, gives me a nice long boost if I get into trouble.

All in all very good ideas I will contemplate on them. I have been very successful with this loadout and so far and have only been taken out once when I made the mistake of getting too comfy, and not paying attention to my surroundings while taking out the star destroyer. I came right back though and made sure he knew that it was my own dumb fault he got me, and proceeded to turn his Firespray into Firebits.

When R04 disabled your Rihk, is it possible your reactor didn't have enough hitpoints left and could not handle the overload program? I use R04 all the time, never had a problem.
