Depends on more than whether you are an 'Ace' or not, but it is possible to do the missions alone. I did.

It's a bit tricky. you have to keep your wits at all times. when you get to the end and have to escort the vette, disablingit and killing the escorts isn't the hard part, its keeping the damn thing alive all by yourself.

so, if your a good enough pilot, and your fastat killing the waves of incoming fighters whilethe behemoth your babysitting goes pain-stakingly slow, then yes. it is possible.

i did it in my eta-actis 2.

I'm not sure about the JSF for that mission, its kind of lite, Its a great interceptor, but if you have a firespray, I'd use it. You will take some hits. I did mine with a little help from a friend in an oppressor, and I was wishing I had something more speedy.

There is not a single mission in space that cannot be solo'ed.

A missions soloability is directly porportionate to your ablity as a pilot to quickly analyze a situation, and adapt your tactics quickly to what is being presented to you.

I'm not disagreeing with you, but I'd love to watch some one deal with those missions with 2 tier 4 gunboats. I really, and I do mean REALLY struggle with just 1 tier 4 gunboat (when b strike fails), I'd love to see how its done.

A pair of the mean Tier 5 GUs (with their missiles) can still be solo'd.

There is a mission though... I helped someone out with it. Lord C... something, the end mission of one of the Kash quest lines... the Trail, maybe. Anyway, it was a few mean Tier 5 GUs, a Warlord Cruiser, at least one other light capital ship, and a spread of Tier 5 fighters. All in all, it was a challenge (took 3 tries to keep the mission holder alive for more than about a minute) for a reasonable group of quality Pilots to complete, and it's one that I'd be loath to attempt alone.

RSF Teir 4 exit mission comes to mind. Two teir 4 gun boats, plus im guessing around 10 fighter escorts. Ive soloed it around three times.

I anayzled the situation.
I didnt have 2 gunboats + fighters after me, i had a singular strike force after me.
The combined firepower of all ships involed made engaging them out of the question, combined firepower was too much.
I needed to reduce their firepower. What was the quickest way to do this?
By Disabling the fighters first.
Joust formation, at high speeds, stay on the edge of the formation, to avoid most of the incoming fire.

With fighters disabled, the two gunboats were easier to manage. Jousted both by disableing engines.
GB's dead in the water, approach blind spot and finish them one by one. Then mob up any fighters that havent self destructed.

Maybe you have an analysis for the Kashyyyk mission with the Warlord Cruisers. Regrettably I cannot solo it, but I am confident others would be grateful for your advice too.

Yes some advice would be nice for people who aren't fantastic pilots but still manage to be good enough to handle themselves.

Saying "You couldnt solo it, haha, noob! I did it 4000 times with my eyes closed, my mouse in my pocket, my PC monitor turned off and my joystick selotaped to my ear while a friend spun me around in my chair slapping me with a kipper at random intervals" doesn't really help people to become better pilots

And there is plenty of good advice out there. The 'Pilot Academy' comes to mind, as well as numerous guides on how to handle an array of different space combat challenges. Many of them can be found through the Pilot FAQ.
