I was using Weapon Overload 2 and as soon as activated it i noticed an immediate increase in the weapon's power and the speed the capacitor energy went down. Ive now got Weapon overload 3 but when I activate it the capacitor energy doesnt seem to go down any faster and I dont think theres any difference in the weapon damage.

It is bugged. It increases damage and decreases energy per shot and reactor drain. It should increase the last two like WO1, 2, and 4.

It's bugged in, depending on your view, a good/bad way. Drain and energy/shot go down, damage goes up. So most people use it.

anyone have the exact effects of the bugged WO3? (not what it is supposed to be) I am trying to get may ships ready for the fix but I want to know how much breathing room I have now.

They really should fix it...It'll make the heavier/slower ships more viable in combat.
The longer they don't fix it...the louder the whining will be when they do get around to it.
Sorta like the group XP nerf/retraction thingy...People got so used to it...sigh...

Anything that keeps "doitformes," badgers, and people who don't care to learn about space OUT of space is fine in my book.
Two of Phoenix's planned configs are WO3-fix ready. I've been planning for it the past six months.

I believe the drain scale follows that of engine overload, so just go look up the drain for EO3.
EDIT: I did it for you because I was feeling nice
333% of the original energy use, which I believe will apply to both reactor and cap drain. More About Droid Commands.

Exact effects...heh
Lets see:
Current (bugged version): Weapon Overload 3
Reactor Drain: Drain / 3 (1800 drain => 600)
Energy Per Shot: EPS / 3 (21 eps => 7)
Damage: 1.5 * damage
What it's supposed to be: Weapon Overload 3
Reactor Drain: Drain / .3 (1800 drain => 6000)!!!
Energy Per Shot: EPS / .3 (21 eps => 70)
Damage: 1.5 * damage
If you relying on WO3 now...you have NO breathing room.

OH I see what you're saying...
Nah I'm totally content with my 2 lvl 7 RE guns and my lvl 3 13k reactor and RE capacitor...
I'm not changin' a single component...
Given that, I should be able to just load WO3 and "Rock n' Roll"... right??

I'm sooooo glad that I have some nice RE caps and run Cap overload 3 instead.
Only just starting my Imp squads on the way to 9 Ace badges, and I haven't used WO yet. Nice to know that for once I've been planning ahead without knowing it!

Thanks for the info it let me figure out that I am not relying on WO3 but I will need a slightly bigger reactor if/when it gets fixed or I might just start using WO2.
