Hello,

I've been thinking about the ship, and wondered about how it flies, so i thought to look on these forums. For the pilot's themselfs to answer. So to those that have first hand experiance flying them please tell me what its like.

Note: I got interested in it because my friend game me some of his screenshots w/ his Bell while fighting the Star Destroyer. (They beat it on that run btw...)

Thanks

Its my primary Ship...

Its all i fly in combat but due to its low mass, you have to get REALLY creative in its payload.

It handles just a shy below the JSF, and has the same weaponry (2 guns + 1 missles).

I like being able to out-manuever anything and didn't want to blast the Chassis on my JSF to kingdom come while grinding up to Ace so I used my "Grievous Fighter". I just got my Lvl 6 astro-droid and need to RE one more gun b4 i switch over to my JSF.

But Yeah.... The Bell is a sweet ride, just be prepared to go without armor and use ALOT of Droid Programs

I have the exact same loadout in my JSF as my Bell. 2 Lvl 7 Blasters, no Missles. I find missles to be a waste of space, time, and resources. My engine, with EO3 gets me up to just shy of 1300. Excellent shielding and Armor. Great capacitor.

GRRR! It is NOT low mass (compare it to other ships across all three squadrons) and it handles the SAME as the Actis. The only difference between the two is the gun layout and the B-22 is slightly larger.

You should be running a full suite of droid programs anyway.

The B-22 handles wonderfully, unbelievably tight turning abilities, just below the heavy level 1 ships. For it's mass and weapon loadout, unfortunately nothing really compares to the B-22 and it's sister ship the Actis.

The downside is flying them will make you really lazy. 90k mass is a lot to work with, you can easily fit in a pair of level 7 guns, 8 engine, um something close shield, etc. Both ships are small, which makes them difficult to kill in both PvE and PvP. Even with a lousy engine you shouldn't have any problems staying on the 6 of a PvE opponent.

Low mass? Prepare to be flamed by some Imperial pilots... Seriously, though, given what you have in that ship, calling it low mass is absurd.

Highlighted = wrong. It handles exactly the same as the JSF. The only difference between these two ships is in the size (bel-22 is about the size of an a-wing, the JSF is about 2/3rds the size of an a-wing.) And that's it.

But Yeah.... The Bell is a sweet ride, just be prepared to go without armor and use ALOT of Droid Programs
It is definately a great ship... Community consensus is pushing it in the direction of being too good to feel comfortable flying... Though the whole idea about going without adequate defenses is a bunch of nonsense. You can easily set aside 55k for defense systems (engine, shield, armor, chaff) and still have enough room for some pretty heavy damage.

But, yes. Run all the droid programs you can find. Droids are your friends.

It handles the same as the level 0 ships, and... different than the heavy TIE:

JSF, Bel-22, Scyk-H, Z95-H:

Spdx .95, Accel/Decel: 50, PYR Accel: 600 600 300

TIE-H:

Spdx .98 Accel/Decel: 50, PYR Accel: 500 500 250

Ah, okay. Imp pilot here, I was thinking of the Heavy TIE stats when I said that. Either way, fantastic handling for it's mass.

I have both the Bell and JSF loaded, and I personally like the JSF maybe because I interact with an actual droid. Well, both seem to handle evenly and the limited mass makes it rather tough to fit anything in, I throw in level 7 2900+ damage disrupter/ion and a 13.65 regen shield, some 800-900 armor plates, 63/63/63/98 max engine and I do just fine. EO+RO = 1400+ before booster.

I was having trouble keeping up with the a-wings in tier 4 with my dunelizard until I trained that first box and could fly a bel. A-wings are just a small snack now. The bel was my main ship until I got Master. Now I fly a Krayt and it's much more of a challenge to maneuver in the Krayt than the Bel but I love having excess mass and enough firepower to demolish anything that's dumb enough to get in front of me.

The ony reason i'm using mine right now is the last few missions in the squadrons, i don't feel like buying or makingships i'm only gonna use for 2-3 missions before i drop the skills to start the next one. And once i go back reb i'm sure it'll just be another decoration in my house. Now i know i'm not gonna have the pleasure of figuring out the subtulties of the IMP ships, but i really don't care to. I only have one more squadron left before i'll never fly as an IMP again. I'm sure i'll catch some fire for this, but i really don't like the ship, but i got it for free so might as well speed up the IMP parts. I'm dieing to get back in some real ships in the reb squads. I'm not saying the IMP ships aren't any good, just not my thing, so all you IMP's don't hate me lol.

WOW...

Thats the first time I ever got a post of mine all diced up like that!!

OK...

1) I stand by my statement that comparitively it is LOW mass (Imp pilots flame away) I am running all lvl 7 and below components, all RE. My Krayt is a friggin TANK, and comparatively, this Bel is ... light

2) not wrong, if you can't tell the difference, its OK, i couldn't at first either,.... but in a time wasting experiment i did loop-di-loops around a group of my friends with them all agreeing that the turning/manuevering radius on the JSF WAS slightly sharper (and yes, same engine..lol) I do concur on the size differences and it being very slight. I also agree that the gun placements on the JSF are ideal (center) vs. the Belballub (outer).

3) Perhaps i need better equipment, but seeing how all my components are RE, its a tough sell.

YES, Everyone should be using AS MANY DROID PROGRAMS as can help you... Imp, Free, or Rebel!! (thats why we got unprogrammed droid chips)

I appreciate all the detail you put into responding to my post,... Thank You

what is this limited mass you people keep talking about..............90k mass is hardly low or limited, you want limited become an imperial pilot, then talk about limited mass, or outfit an A wing

ive never even been imperial and i know that they get shafted on mass, rebels just get it great on mass
