Okay, I know most people reading this forum are pilots OR are would be pilots so keep this in mind.
Doesn't anyone go to the bazaar and look up ship components like mad? Most of us have a Shipwright friend or a fellow guildmate that will make a component, but doesn't everyone stop by the bazaar to just look at what is out there and if there is something better try to acquire it?
Well at least I do. And one of the things that I find really annoying is rumaging through loads of pointless junk. It's great that there are specific options that they never had before to filter by name or price. But doesn't anyone get bored or annoyed at going through 5 pages of engines only to waste their time loadingLevel 1-5 components? Sure, some of them are marked as being a certain level or tier, and some are distinguishable by name, but I'm not about to memorize all 50+ names of the components and know what tiers they are for.
What I am saying is would we all appreciate being able to filter for space components based on the required level of use? And just to push it a little further maybe even a filter for reverse engineering level?
It really would save me days of time if I didn't have to wade through all the junk I'd never look at in the first place. Anyone else think this would be beneficial?

Agreed. It would be cool to add either a level filter or column to sort by. While we're on the topic of the bazzaar search, I would like to be able to search the skilltape attributes and resource types, too.

I only look on teh bazaar to find the best deals on chassis. For all my components, i just hit up my favorite parts mall.

between travelling, searching through parts, finding out stats and comparing them I spent 5 hours today trying to figure out what parts i could or couldnt use in my JSF.
A Cert. lvl should be a sortable option just like type of component.

So Tomo, is this something you bring up to them? Something you'd think would help? Or do we just hope a dev sees threads like these?

If you think looking for parts is bad, you've obviously never tried looking for the resources you need to make them. Try finding some good crystallized bicarbantum steel. Dozens of pages of all kinds of steel, and no way to tell which is which w/o waiting for the specs to download.

And same sentiment to the initial poster. Main reason I don't buy many starship parts from the bazaars.

Some of my favorite vendors do put part levels in the part name, but yes, a better search filter would be great. I've literaly spent hours on vendor search trying to find parts I need/want.
... and on a related note, I usually sort by price, since usually price corasponds to level somewhat, but it always amuses me that I'll see some idiot try to sell a level 2 or 3 part for the same price as a 7 or 8....

Resources and Skill tapes are the worst things to try and find.
As fo ship parts, print the thread about what parts are what particular level. Then use the names of the level items you are searching for and just click those in the parts fields to the left. It really speeds up the shopping and you eventually will memorize the names of the level stuff you are looking for. I've pretty much memorized all level 7 & 8 shields, Level 6 & 8 engines and Level 7 & 8 guns. Good luck. Now if someone knows away to find resources better, especially since the actual type of the resource is rarely displayed anymore, I'd greatly appreciate it. Same for skill tapes.

Yes it'd be good but if it were that specific..you'd NEVER find anything decent on the bazaar because other people would be racing to get those parts before you.
