Has anyone else lost a ship? Not gotten it blown up, but really lost it?
I'm a smuggler's alliance master pilot. I have RotW and had five ships in my datapad (Vaksai, ARC, YT-1300, Rihkxyrk, and Krayt) on Saturday morning before the servers reset for double xp.
I launched my Kraytfrom Narmle on Rori and headed to the Red Sin Chimaera point on Endor. After blowing up stuff for a while, my Internet connection went down. It came back about 10-15 minutes later, and I logged back in. I was back in Narmle, no wounds or anything. Everything is normal to this point. I went to the starship terminal to launch, and my Krayt is missing from the list! Not grayed out, on another planet or anything like that. Just gone.
Ok, not a big deal, I think. The Krayt is stillin my datapad, so maybe I need to log out again. I log out, reboot the computer, run a full scan. Still no Krayt. So I log out for a longer period of time. No luck. Although the Krayt lists the hangar location as Narmle, I decide to head to Endor and see if maybe it's there. Nope.
I try to examine the Krayt and it shows me my Vaksai. I try to examine my Vaksai, and nothing happens. So, I empty components and start redeeding ships. Since the Krayt is showing my Vaksai, I try to redeed it and yes, I get my Vaksai deed back. The Vaksai won't redeed, saying I have components in it. Makes sense if it's my missing Krayt. At this point the only ships in my datapad are my YT-1300 (which was decorated and I couldn't pull everything out) and the ghost Krayt in Vaksai clothing. The YT-1300 is the only ship showing up in the ship selection screen.
About this time they start bringing the servers down for double xp. I figure that's great, a reset will probably fix it. An hour or so later, I log back in. No luck, things are just the way I left it. At this point, I submitted a ticket, then tried generating some of my deeds. All the other ships work fine, including my Vaksai (the real one) but the Krayt never reappears.
Then, yesterday evening I get a reply to my ticket. CSR-AnnaT (I believe) helpfully explains that my ship cannot be traced in the logs, therefore it cannot be restored. Sorry, ticket closed. What?!
So, at this point, I have a ghost Krayt/Vaksai in my datapad that I can't examine or manage. I can buy another Krayt, but it's the loss of my RE'd components (mission reward parts, etc.) that really hurts. I guess I'll try another ticket, maybe I'll get a different CSR.
In any case,I wanted to warn people that there might bea bug withthe larger ship limit in the datapad, or possibly something with having a couple of Kashyyk quest ships. Or maybe it was just a freak accident.

Wierd...
What about stripping out your other ships, so you're down to only the Krayt and two others in the datapad?

At one point, I was down to the YT-1300 and the fake Vaksai/Krayt in my datapad. I suppose I could pull all the decorations out of the YT-1300 and redeed it too, but at this point I don't really see it making any difference.

Thought it might help, since the last three data spots added with RotW are buggy. But if you've already done that...hrm....
Good luck, I'd be banging my head against the wall if I lost one of my ships. Keep trying CSR tickets.

Isn't there an out of game forum we can take unsatisfactorily handled CSR tickets to? I've one ticket I've saved, they closed it... but saved it so I could keep the number, (and keep it in the system.)

That would be nice. I've taken screenshots of my tickets, but that's probablynot much good except for me to remember what was said. I just wish the CSR wouldn't close the ticket immediately since that prevents me from replying. Which is the point, I suppose...

OUCH !!! That would have ended the game for me. Loosing prized (non replaceable) components like that, yea, would be time to look for entertainment elsewhere.

I am done with submitting tickets, I have never had any luck with them. I call their customer service line instead, they have logged in a CSR for me to fix problems while I was still on the phone with them. Much, much faster and you can better explain your problems.

After a third ticket got closed without a fix, I'm at that point now...
I was flying around in Kessel tonight when I saw a YT-1300 hanging around. Wouldn't you know, it's CSR-JordanK. I never get a tell though, so I figure it must be for something else and fly away a couple minutes later to stay out of the way.
Shortly after that, I get a reply to mylatest ticket:
"This is CSR-Jordank here at your service. I went in game and checked myself. The ship Vaksai is the Krayt chassis.
Your understanding and patience in this regard is highly appreciated.
I must inform you that I have marked this ticket as pending closed. Feel free to file a new ticket if you have any issue in future.
Have a nice time!"
The ticket is closed. The Vaksai icon (which apparently is my Krayt) still can't be examined, redeeded, managed, etc. I quick sent a tell but all I get back is "I'm logging off now. Bye!" And this is customer service how, exactly? Yeah, I know... Just needed to vent before I did something rash. After over a year of playing this game, I've never been quite that close to just deleting everything.

CSRs never cease to amaze me.
Have you tried calling help? I've heard you can sometimes get better service from them, mainly because you can actually talk with them over the phone to explain to them. Maybe PMing Tiggs, in extreme cases she will pounce a few CSRs.

Thanks for the advice. I hadn't tried calling yet since I was hoping to avoid a toll call (unless I'm missing a toll-free number somewhere). The CSR that closed the second ticket at least told me to try aparticular category for the third ticket, so I wasfoolishly hoping that the online method would work this time.
In any case, it's after hours nowso I guess I'll try to cooloffand call tomorrow. If a call doesn't get me anywhere, I'lleither check with Tiggs or delete my character, depending on how annoyed I am.

what I want to know is what exactly do you need to show them of proof of having the ship in the first place.
