Now when you say "shoot in the back" do you mean that you engaged and then got behind them, or do you mean you came at them full speed from behind?

Both are fine, if you are PvP enabled and not paing attention or AFK you are asking a trip to the station but I can see where someone who did not get even a warning shot being a little upset... this doesn't excuse hate tells though.

Killing FP hunters has this drawback it seems, they arn't even interested in space combat... they just wnat FP to sell or build turrets next to shuttles... (yeah it happens even when it is supposed to be an exploit, an't CSR favoritism grand?)

If you're pvp enabled you just have to be ready, I was pvp enabled during most of my imp grind and the only warning shot I ever expected to get was the one that would kill me /shrug

No one gets a warning shot, especially when you have 2x3.5k dam guns, its 1 shot 1 kill out there
Every time i go overt in space i press the target next enemy player button every 2 seconds
And i will engage em at full throttle regardless of what there doing
If you dont want to die, dont fly.....

killing someone unaware you are there is just no fun. better to send a warning tell so that they;

1. know your name

and

2. have time to become afriad before they die

Blasting 'em out of nowhere does have the advantage they'll be terrified of you next time they go up though.
Besides if someone is unaware they're being targeted or approached by a hostile they won't be dedicated pilots enough to know who to fear yet.

cant wait till those b*stard credit farmers figure out how easy it is to make money in space

i think it would be interesting to get a hate tell that was written in another language

My warning shot is the one that blows them up. If the person has no target then they auto-target me, and hopefully can figure out who killed them. Never got one hate tell. The only rulefor me in space PvP is not to load-kill.

mine is "you might want to press 'z'"

you could also use something a bit more cocky like "you call that flying? better put in for your pension!"
