Show your faces here.
Post your old pilot-name and Squad ....
Post your old pilot-name and Squad ....
We should get together where there's several of us on the same server.
WE know what flying is all about. :}
And while I think FS2 was way ahead of it's time and an awesome space game, I have to admit that my first impressions of JtL took me right back to FS2.
Thanks!

I am an old ACE. from Wing Commander, Privateer, descent, to the whole freespace games. I'm also from the ancient Xwing and TIE fighter games.
I've played them all and need skilled pilots on Kettemoor to fly alongside.

You heard about Derek Smart buying the FS license? I almost got a heart attack when I found the news... Luckily for me it wasn't true.
But hey, I am sure they will do Freespace 3 in the future. It's however uncertain when. Fallout 3 after all is being done years after Fallout 2.

Since parts of the game changed hands, PXO said when they sold the rights that there would never be a FS3, part of the agreement of sale.
That was from one of the devs at the time, wish my memory was good enough to tell you which it was that told me.

Vertigo 1 requesting docking proceedures
Oh, I am quite the old school ace myself. Played X-wing, Tie Fighter, Wing Commander I - IV, some freespace and freespace 2. But my real obsession was the Descent series(yes I was one of those "joystick not mouse!") players
I played Descent 1 and 2 via Kali back in the early days of net gaming, and was pretty tightly involved with Descent 3(check thecredits
)

I'm an ex big player of FS2.
I even tried to reinstall it few weeks ago but it seems that installer is crashing on my computer (winXp).
Btw I saw on a board someone checking all mod for FS2, here (it's in french but google or babelfish can make you understand it).

Yeah, unfortunately Interplay owns all the licenses to Descent and Freespace from the Parallax days. When they split into Outrage and Volition, Interplay still held the rights. In the time since those companies have moved to be divisions of THQ I believe. So, sadly, Descent and Freespace have been left to history.

JBX-Phoenix also plays SWG, he picked up his JtL last night and is already infatuated lol.
Bummer HeadHunta and a few of the others are all still stuck in EVE... *sigh*.
We need to tell some of the old croud (Mustang comes to mind, and Suzanna) about JtL.. :}

I played FS a decent amount. I was in a squad too, not sure what the squad was, but I think my pilot name was bigwilly. Not 100% sure about that either. I played the single player FS2, but I wasn't in a squadron.

I am seasoned FS pilot. Finished both FS 1 two times and FS 2 two times (too
). But I have only flown MP with some friends on LAN, never on INET.
To be honest, each of us know Freespace(s) are one of the best space sims out there. I've played nearly every combat space sim, ranging from Wing Commander through X - Wing series and finishing with Freelancer and the only one that reaches the superior qualities of FS is Starlancer.
