i was told that getting FP in jtl is much better/easier than on ground but i was told u need to be overt.... does this mean go overt as u normally would on ground or is there a space overt option?

Find a Space station of your faction, talk to it and you get the option to go Overt.

Also if you go overt in space you won't be overt when you land on the ground you are reset back to covert. I love getting Faction Points in space it is a nice change from killing ground NPC's.

Your best bet is to declare when you're running your missions. I've currently got quite a few people getting in touch with me to help them run missions. Got over 3000 fp night/morning before last when I helped on somewhere around 2-3 missions, so the xp gain goes rather quickly. Blew all the xp on furniture for my Decimator, though.

Like stated above, as an ace you can make mad faction in space. A guildie wanted to switch from reb to imp, so I went up and got the last 2500 fp he needed in about 15 minutes up in deep space, 40-60 fp per kill! It will be a little less for lower tiers (tier 4 guys give around 30, tier I give around 10), but there is a near endless supply of opposing faction ships so it is way faster than the ground game.

Space is the easiest place to get FP I have ever seen. I am Pilot Ace, and in a total of about 10 hours bumming around Deep Space, I have made 19K faction points. (About an hour and a half of that was spent destroying the Rebel station solo, only to discover it doesn't give FP )

For a pilot at tier2 ish? I'd suggest going where I did for grinding and FP. Go overt, and hit everything you can by the Rebel station at Lok (Rebellions Blaze) They are tier 2 and 3, and the nym ships drop decent loot (but no FP) while the Rebel ships give from 10-30 FP a kill. I used that place to get from Master Sergeant eventually up to Captain, then used Kessel to go from Captain to Colonel

there's a destroy nyms mission at the naboo space station that puts you up against rebel pilots. Right now, I've come to realize I might as well take out these tier 3's instead of tier 5's as I get 30 fp per tier 3 kill, and only 50 to tier 5's. I can down tier 3's in 2 seconds, and it takes me about 30 to down a tier 5 x-wing, so sometimes tier 3's are the easiest way to gain faction.

I may have to check into that mission...

I still like Tier 5 for the loot. Tier 3 fighters can only drop up to Tier 7 loot.

Just remember to check your 6 all the time. You are not alone there, and other overts will be hunting you. make a button or hotkey for target nearest enemy player, and hit it every few seconds.

I believe by default it's SHIFT-TAB to target nearest enemy player.

Just doing that from memory though, someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
