when starting it up i had 4-5 other people with me and figured how hard could it be? the first 2 parts we breezed thru but then got a message. we have never before seen a black sun presence like this before. thats no joke. a small armada of black sun ships hypered in and wasted no time annihilating my group, i think we lasted about 30 seconds at best. the second time we went thru it i took a better look at what we were up against. i quickly noticed the 2 gunships destroying us. im not sure if it was the way we approached the fight or we didnt have enough people. if anyone has any tips on how to get thru this mission easier, i would appreciate it.

Here's the trick: Whoever's mission it is, when you reach the last part, hide among all the RSF ships, lure the enemy there to engage them thenhyper to the first hyperpoint in yavin. The rest of your group will die, respawn, die, respawn until everything is dead. The battle is fairly close to the space station, so this isn't a big problem.

Actually, this was the first mission where the backup actually attacked without me having to trick them. I did this mission last night with an Imp buddy, nothing real great tactics.

I flew around (because nothing was attacking me) and found one of the gunships engaged with the RSF backup. I targeted its 0 weapon, and shot until it noticed me (which didnt take too long). When I was about to get waxed, I used IFF scramble, and everything aggrod on my buddy. Cant remember which TIE he was in, but he was basically able to dodge everything while I finished off the weapon on the gunship. Once that was out, it never fired on me again...so I killed it. I left the second gunship alone until all the escorts were gone, then just went at it with everything I had and everything my buddy had. It went down without doing much damage to either of us at all.

For me, the RSF guys usually ignore the enemy, so the gunships only target the person who has the mission. Otherwise it would be possible..

Obviously you've had better luck.

Use IFF scramble...its the best skill we get...learn to use it wisely.

The devs have to be on crack. The rebs are bad enough w/ 2 or 3 friends because they all seem to aggro you. Mind you I haven't gotten past the reb assault YET. Now I come to find out that there is a Blacksun presence from hell w/ 2 gunships to boot? The vette mission sounds easier than that. God knows I have run that with friends countless times and have seen 4 masters made in 2 days. But this exit quest sounds like more hassle than that. WTG devs. First privateers get the shaft without a solo master tier fighter. Now our exit quest seems to be harder than the actual master mission. WOOOHOOO!! Go Privs!

P.S. I tried IFF Scramble works great for a short while. Until yet ANOTHER wave of crap shows up. Then you have them all on your ass.

I did this mission last night with the help of one friend, and had zero problems. On the delivery, I made my way until I was about 2k out (mostly dodging the Rebel ships). Once I was there, I hit IFF scramble, then boosted over to the dropoff. Nothing aggrod me at all.

We also had no problems taking out the 2 gunboats and the fighter escort. Well, I lost half of my front armor, but that was it. Just me in my Rihxyrk, and him in his TIE Advanced...nothing fancy, nothing special.

Well then you got lucky. There is NO dodgin fighters when I do it. They all aggro ME. Even if my friends aggro them they all seem to want to kill me and only me. I have to fight the first three and when then next wave comes they all gang me no matter who shoots em. I am glad you finished it! But some of us are having quite the unique experience. Hopefully its just a matter of X number of missions before the AI stops going after ONLY the courier.

Again, if you use IFF scramble, they wont attack you. Yes, it is limited, so I would suggest holding off as long as possible before using it. If you want more speed, downgrade into a Dune Lizard (I didnt, but I can see how that ship would work well for this mission).
