After that, upgrade your guns. Lose the level 5, and get a level 7 crafted with a quick refire rate. If your other gun has a slow refire, you may want to replace it, too. Try to upgrade your shield as well, but this isn't as important with CtSS4.
Now, when you go up against the gunboat, take down the fighters first. I usually just ran away from the gunboat, and let the fighters get a good lead on it. Turn around, blast the fighters as much as I can, and run away again before the gunboat gets to you. Once you have it down to just you and the gunboat, go into strafing runs on it. Target the engine, and let your blasters fly. Once you can't hit it anymore, hit your booster to minimize damage. CtSS after you get out of range, and wait for your droid to recharge. Then turn around and do it again. It may take a few tries, but you'll get it.
Try this link, it has information about all of the Inquisition missions and some advice on how to do them.

Get yourself a v4 Flight Computer. Pick up Reactor Overload 3, Weapon Capacitor Overcharge 3, and Capacitor to Shield Shunt 4. Those programs will all fit in there with EO3 and WO3. CtSS4 is a serious lifesaver.

Yes. You might also find bomber strike 2 is your friend on this mission.Pull up to 1000m away from the gunboat and fighters, target the gunboat's engineand hit your bomber strike 2 command. Let the bombers get the shield on gunboat down to about 25% then you can go in under it and blow out the engine. It only takes about 5 minutes for them to get the engine's shield down that low. Once the gunboat is disabled you can pull the fighters off to a safe distance and take them out. Before you do this though make sure you work on your ship'sloadout and droid commands.
As for your loadout, you can easily load two Lvl 7 weapons on your Advanced if you change your other parts around a little.
2Advanced or Lvl 7 Blasters (Totalmass = 30,000)
1 Mark IV Shield (14,500 mass)
Level 6 Engine (10,500 mass)
Mark I Reactor (1200 mass)
Mark III Droid Interface (3300 mass)
Lvl 2 Capacitor (2000 mass)
Lvl 1 booster (1500 mass)
Total mass = 63,000 mass

While not recommended by some of the more seasoned pilots, you could always upgrade/downgrade to a Heavy Tie. With 95k mass that ship will let you load just about everything you need to do these missions solo.
A Heavy TIE will not cut it with this mission. The single gun slot simply does not put out the damage needed to destroy the gunboat before it despawns. The TIE Advanced is the way to go.

One note, the v4 flight computer doesn't quite have enough room for all four overloads at level 3 plus CtSS4 ... just CtSS3.
Huh? You might want to tell my FC about that. Because I'm running around with a v4 (and a level 4 R2 for when I go back to being a Rebel), and they both hold all four 3s plus CtSS4 quite nicely.
