Ok, so I just got Master Pilot for the first time and kitted out a B-22, but being a bit of a space noob atm I wondered if anyone's got suggestions on how to improve my ship.

Atm it's loaded out like:

Reactor: lvl 2
Mass 2047, Gen 12616.

Engine: Lvl 7
Drain 2247, Mass 13290, PYR 60.6 Speed 98.7

Shield: Lvl 7
Drain 2221, Mass 16910, F/B 1704, Recharge 10.49

Capacitor: Lvl 4
Drain 1022, Mass 4125, Energy 907, Recharge 42.1

Boosters: Lvl 6
Drain 518, Mass 8776, Recharge 53.5, Consumption Rate 161, Accel 38.8, Speed 29.4

DI: lvl 7
Drain 718.4, Mass 6525, Speed 14.4

Weapon 1: Lvl 6
Drain 2184, Mass 16509, Dmg 1690-2335, Vs .620 on both, EPS 34.2, Refire rate .440 (Just noticed this isn't RE'd)

Weapon 2: Lvl 7
Drain 2004, Mass 1562, Dmg 1730-2669, VsS .610, VsA .630, EPS 24.6, Refire rate .320

Plus a standard crafted MKIII Missile launcher leaves me at:

Mass 88849/90000
Energy 11990/12616

one thing that stick out to me is the engine. I understand how most people prefer but come on, 60 YPR, you cna easily find a level 6 re job that will give about 80 speed with 70 YPR. thats all really

I'm sorry but this is like the fifth thread this week asking how to outfit a jsf/belb....just go look at the threads already answered. Everyone answers pretty much the same way each time...

And neither will the threads you find if it does work.

If you are serious about flying, AND have trouble outfitting a BSF/JSF, then you need to drop all your pilot skills and regrind with non-rotw ships. It will be worth it in the end.

Well, I think it is useful, all your parts have less mass than mine, and are comparable in function to the ones I have.

Gives me something to work towards.

Atm it's loaded out like:

Reactor: lvl 2
Mass 2047, Gen 12616. Good for your current drain.

Engine: Lvl 7
Drain 2247, Mass 13290, PYR 60.6 Speed 98.7 Think about using a lvl 6 reward engine.Decent RE would be under 10k mass, over 69 on YPR and over 80 speed.

Shield: Lvl 7
Drain 2221, Mass 16910, F/B 1704, Recharge 10.49 Can do better on mass and HP with a good RE'd lvl 7. Decent recharge, but can get better. Protect-o-net shields from the Starmap quest can get way better on HP and recharge.

Capacitor: Lvl 4
Drain 1022, Mass 4125, Energy 907, Recharge 42.1 See if you can get by with a lower recharge. If so, you can use a lighter crafted cap.

Boosters: Lvl 6
Drain 518, Mass 8776, Recharge 53.5, Consumption Rate 161, Accel 38.8, Speed 29.4 An RE'd lvl 4 reward booster will give longer duration, comparable speed and accel, and much less mass. I personally use a high-speed lvl 1 crafted.

DI: lvl 7
Drain 718.4, Mass 6525, Speed 14.4 One thing every pilot should try to aquire is a pre-nerf lvl 1 DI. 15 speed, 500-ish mass and 500-ish drain. Saves tons of mass.

Weapon 1: Lvl 6
Drain 2184, Mass 16509, Dmg 1690-2335, Vs .620 on both, EPS 34.2, Refire rate .440 (Just noticed this isn't RE'd) Shoot for <10k mass, <2500+ dmg, <.65+ vs, >25 EPS, >.410 refire pre-RE. Can get better but you'd have to put some time into locating the parts.

Weapon 2: Lvl 7
Drain 2004, Mass 1562, Dmg 1730-2669, VsS .610, VsA .630, EPS 24.6, Refire rate .320 I'm assuming 15620 mass. Can get a bit better there. An RE'd Boltdriver would be a better choice.

Plus a standard crafted MKIII Missile launcher leaves me at: Consider dropping the launcher. Would save a lot of mass and drain.

Mass 88849/90000
Energy 11990/12616

The only ships in the game that take noeffort to outfit properly are POBs. Part of the fun of being a pilot is seeing how far you can go with a limited amount of mass. My Bel-22 is currently running a lvl 8 Quantum Ion Drive engine, lvl 8-7 gun combo, and lvl 8 reward shield.

Wow sorry, I just thought the pilot forum would be a good place to ask for help about pilot related issues...

Dude, chill, I have no issues with the mass, hell, for the performance/manouverability it's got tons of mass.

As a pretty noob pilot I was just wondering about the quality of the components I'd used and if I'd done anything glaringly obviously wrong.

Thanks to the other ppl for the helpful replies

Why not just go crawl back under the rock you came from for all use you are to anyone.

A few words of advice, that are applicable to any hypermaneuverable ship. (Just the more serious ones, many pilots would comment on most components.)

A crafted engine... might be sufficient for PVE. With the Belb's mass limitations there is no reason not to use a lvl 10 RE engine, or you might use a lvl 8 QUD based REd one.

The shield is not the best one, for this mass you could have an 1990ish F/B crafted or a 13Kish mass 9ish RR crafted for the same F/B.

I'd prefer a higher energy capacitor, even if a lvl 4 RE.

Booster: It is a waste of mass to have a lvl 6 booster. A lvl 1, maybe 2 crafted/REd does the job.

IMO it is a waste of mass to have a 6K mass DI, ut I have pre nerf level 1s, so I do not know how I'd substitute them.

Weapons are matter of preference.
