Thread: How to solo any mission in SWG:
Azzixx = space sim junky
JTLmissions are petty compared to what you find in a single player space sim.

I just woke up a while ago, so I just skimmed it, but, have you tried to solo the last blackscale mission, w/o bomber strike 3?
Yes, it can be done. All can be done solo with what is available to you at your current level.These realy hard missions are just puzzles to be solved.
That said.. gee, you sound humble don't you? And space sim stuff is based on skill, some people just plain never will be excellent pilots, no matter how much they practice, so don't act so condesending to them.

You obviously missed the point. Humble and Pilot are words that don't belong in the same sentence.
And if you paid close attention, you'll see I wasn't condescending, at least, not in that post. ![]()
Meh, you know, Pre-CU PvP experts thought they were something special for being an expert at manipulating the mechanics of a video game too. I'm really not impressed by the kind of lone wolf, I can do it alone so I'm better than you, attitude.
My guild leader is an MMORPG junkie, he's got three master pilots with two more on the way up. His best time to date is Novice to Corvette ready 4444 Crimson Pheonix Rebel Pilot in about20 solid hours solo without double xp. I started his Imperial Pilot in Storm Squadron and stopped at 1111 before giving it back over to him, the next afternoon, he was at 3334 cursing my name six ways to Sunday for sticking him with that mess of escort missions. Had he not needed that pilot for more than just Droid Commands for the guild, he'd have probably mastered Imperial Pilot that night.
He can be an ass,and he'll be the first person toadmit he's amazedpeople stick with the guild becausehe's as demanding as he is. However, never in the two years I've been in his guild, has he ever once been remotely condescending. He'll push to get the best we can give, but never belittles anyone because they're not at his level. You managed to make yourself a complete fool in your post by imagining your ability with a video game somehow makes you special.
Christ, I trained for six weeks on XvT: Balance of Power before I got into JTL, and I took on and took out Star Destroyers in that game too. I miss having to go in against that thing pulling its teeth one turret at a time to open a blind spot for me to take it down. I still have nightmares about the upgraded version of the Nebulon-B from that game. I'd love it if the ISD in this game were even a shadow of a challenge equal to that. 100 guns on a JTL Star Destroyer, and I can kill it without ever disabling one. How lame is that? If that thing were to actually have the ability to maneuver? I'd shiver, right before I flew into a hail of blaster fire.
If being a pilot means being that level of assinine, I'll stick with being a player, thanks.

You're right. Some people will never be excellent pilots. I'm one of them. My system simply cannot handle certain areas (Dathomir, in general, comes to mind immediately). I'm not particularly good at shooting things, but I know how my ships work and how my droids work. If you put something in front of me, it will die. Maybe not as fast as some of the other pilots here, but sooner or later I will destroy it. Not everyone will be an excellent pilot. But the PvE missions are fairly forgiving, and ANYONE can solo them if they just practice. Practice, and learn from those who know more than you.
Rapax, how long ago was it that I contacted you about the TIE Fighter? When I did that, I was quitting Storm Squadron because it was too hard. I had to have a lot of help to get through Inquisition shortly after that. Today, I'm soloing Inquisition with my alt, and having a breeze of it. I'm going to do CorSec next to get the full Triple Mastery bonus (already soloed my way through Crimson Phoenix), then I'm going back to kick Storm Squadron's butt. Anyone can do this. All they have to do is practice, and learn. Read these forums. Read the FAQ. Read the FAQ three or four times. I firmly believe that there is very little in JTL that I could not solo, and I am by no means an excellent pilot.
