Umm, they have taken out getting wounds when you die in space. How is this a problem. Hell, it was a badge of honour in the old days to have blacked out health bars!
So now, when you die in space, it will have no effect on you! Boy, I really want to meet the guy who comes up with SOEs SWG ideas, then shoot him, a lot!

Yeah, SOE is a strange company. They like to fiddle with their game, and do what they want, and ignore what the players want... or at least it feels that way sometimes... what with the "fix" that will all but eliminate the entertainer proffesion, and the "fix" for space wounds... neither of these even make sense.... what? why? huh?

Stop complaining, shesh. Its very hard to find a doctor to heal you these days. "Back in the day" all you needed was novice medic, not so any more, this is a good change!

Yeah, I literally spent one full hour, just hanging out in the Cnet Med-Center for some doctor to come in and heal me.
Not one of the Doctors in my PA were on and the few that used to be doctors, had given up doctoring. Waiting for wounds to be healed sucks.
They at least could have put up a NPC doctor that will charge something like 1000 Credits per 10 HP of damage healed. Then, waiting for wounds to go away wouldn't be a big problem. I have better things to to do then sit in a med center for upwards of an hour, twiddling my blasted thumbs.

I agree with that about the wounds, which is why about three days after the CU, I respec'd to TKM. Self-healing was huge, especially when flying in space...

Wasn't it more of a sign of multiple failures?
My wife plays a doctor, and post CU she avoided healing pilot wounds as the heal rate was too slow. (not to mention people didn't bother tipping) There were many alternate solutions that could've been implemented, but I guess this was the "easy" route. (Increased wound healing rate and amounts, granting medical XP for wound healing, etc..)
But, as it stood, it was impossible to find a doctor to heal your wounds (there was no incentive for them), and I really hated having jedi/mage/clerics heal me instead. Not that I'm happy about the change, but the alternative, post-CU until now, was not a bettter situation.

"The old days", when you didnt fly with every droid program running, where you had no REed loot, and you still headbutted the ISD/corvette/PvPers for kicks. AND all those ground lubbers would go "A Star Destroyer, in SPACE, you fought it? It did that damage!"
"No, I killed several Impstar deuces, but the enemy players vaped me in their TIEs, keep dancing love!"
And to get rid of wounds, just sit in a CAMP, do your mail, a bit of crafting, check your loot in your inventory and hey presto, NO WOUNDS!

Ah the old days...when newbie ships didn't have hyperdrive, and couldn't change parts. Before chassis dealers bought your crap and flying cost MORE than you made doing it. When beginner pilots would land so beaten up by wounds I actually picked up medic again to treat them. When no one knew what droid progams did. When Kessel was dangerous. When you had to actually drive out to Jabba's palace, and actually do the content of the theme park to see your trainer if you hadn't already.
*sigh* God that was fun. Kids these days....they don't know how easy they got it...Hey you! Get off my lawn! *grumble grumble*

Yup, the easier it gets the crappier/more boring it gets!

I used to LOVE the pilots landing with wounds ... of course, at the time I was grinding Doctor and trying to avoid the usual tumbler grind. Once XP for wound heals vanished, so did incentive to do so. Clearly, instead of making wounds worth healing, SOE decided to just get rid of them save for cloning!

Yeah, and let's add NPC Armor and Weapons Vendors. =P Or they could just move Wound Healing back to Novice Medic like it was Pre-CU where it gets progressively stronger the more medical skills you gain.

Medic, Doc, and CM all kinda got the shaft in the CU so they can be pretty hard to find. I don't usually heal wounds unless asked but I never charge a fee. I always felt like healing shouldn't cost you but buffs definitly should. I think medics should be able to heal wounds and that wounds shouldn't have been removed from space. Then again.... it seems like SOE only listens to whinning minority anyways.

The heal rate for a camp (and I'm a master ranger... don't ask me why. lol) is intensely slow. About 10-20% faster than the rate for sitting in a med center. It used to be a good viable alternative. Now, unless I'm going AFK for an hour to watch a show.. I deal with it 'til I run into a healer.
'course I rarely hunt on the ground anymore, so a little black never bothered me.
