Thread: Should i hold out?

I've been working on a new L8 shield for quite a while now, and i've really been trying to get as close to the best i can. The only problem for me is i know people know more about loot than me, so i've come to you try and help me make my mind up. 
This is what i have, all stats are Pre-RE.
Armor: 700.9/700.9
Hitpoints: 700.9/700.9
Drain: 1894.7
Mass: 26352.8
Front: 2433.4
Back: 2433.5
Rate: 16.67
I honestly don't know whether to go ahead and RE, or hold out, basically for a lower mass.

hold out for better mass sitting on 2 23k mass ones atm

Thats exactly what i thought. :/
What shields are they out of interest? I've been looking for a low mass L8 for literally months now, and 26k is by far the best i've had.

id re it now if you dont have a re'd l8 shield yet, you can always get another reward shield if you find a lower mass l8. you might want to use your second best recharge rate though and save that one for your "final'shield.

good suggestion since got 2 RE'd and waiting on good regen's for the 23k's

Thats my main concern, and reason for asking. I know the regen is way above normal, so don't want to waste it. I think its just one of those case of where you want to just get it REed because you've been working on it for so long.

He has a good point. your "final" shield will take a long time in looting for a low mass one. I know i have about three L8 RE shields floating around 26K to 28K mass, and havent found anything lower then the 26K yet.

Er sry guys got all my RE sets mixed up sheild best is like 25.8k the 23k's are engine best atm one near 23k flat which is nice but there's better.
I'm still liking having a near 1400 flat drainlvl 10 engine from a guildie other day that's gonna be easy to EO4 and with the 83.4 yaw so far as a start I may eventually have 1.6's across the board pre OL

Unless you're a madman with a scary A-Wing obsession, go ahead and RE it. It's top-shelf stuff. The drain, recharge and mass are all better than the 42 random loots listed so far at SpaceLoot.
