I was mining in naboo carb 2, and noticed that little station-like thing nearby...its pretty damn small...but it wouldnt take up much space in the zone....so why not make it where you could buy one off a sw, set it down for 6 lots (yes 6, dont need space to be filled up with them) and have it dockable, and go into it pob style, and have the inside the room of a naboo small, with 150 items?
They should let you live in space no matter what they choose though, seeing how the next expanison is gonna be cap ship's.

Nice idea, only thing would be clogging up space with these. There'd have to be rules like not putting 'em within 6km from a station.
Another way to do it would be making larger stations, owned by a guilds over, say, 35 members to keep too many from invading space.
I'll get back with summore addons/changes after dinner...AKA in five minutes

Aye, anything to live in sace would roll well with me, even if i have to drag guildies along on it, but unguilded players would get the shaft, and thats not right nor fair for them, maybe pump the lots to 8 and have a500 cr/hr maint fee? And yes, there would have to be rules. No homes near the stations. Id place my ine int he asteroid feilds of endor myself though.

How about having all maintenance paid in prestige, at the cost of several million per week? That'd keep all but the more serious of pilots from bothering.

While Im sure all of us ace pilots would be cool with that, i doubt that would come about due to the fact not everyone is ace in space and wants to be. Id have that set myself, but looking at a dev point of view, its not something that would be fair.

OK, the guild idea is a little limiting so--how about apartment building-like things that you have to do quests to do, and a high maintenance, maybe 130/hour, because 500/hour is a little taxing.

hmm..a quest to unlock ahome on a faction station which you would have to pay maint (prestige)on would be nice. Id have it where each room was instanced, with a elevator going though the instances up until a lobby area..for aces ofcourse

Now THAT'Sa good Idea.
OK, a moddification to that idea:
RSF, CorSec, and SA would have seperate stations, while factioned pilots wouldn't have squad specific stations, as the "privateer" profs are too different from each other to have a happy co-existence in a single station.

how about just using some thing thats already in space?
Say the space stations them self. Make it so you can dock there then rent a space or a berthing from the station.
Those things look big iam sure you could fit a lot of berthing space in 1 station.
I dont know to much about ground houses ia mgoingto haveto look into 1 since my invent and backpack are getting full of parts iam saving and not selling and need 1 to store the stuff in.

Only problem with that is clogging up the surrounding area with idle fighters.

now on for the rs/corsec/sa there is some places that come to mind.
The RSF have a mining op in nabbo, and that would work. So do the Corsec in talus/corellia space. SA..that would be hard...ok you know those odd shaped ships with the spikes that dont move (static)...those might work..but other than that i dont know for SA pilots
EDIT: ahh the norm stations might work for SA

That sounds good. I was thinking larger stations than the landing stations, but stationed in the middle of nowhere.
How 'bout an asteroid installment for the SA pilots? Perfect hideout.
