Thread: ARC 170 Deeding Problems

I've mentioned that this ship is having problems in a couple of my bug reports, but the info I've got is more vague than I'd like. Can anyone who's had a problem deeding or redeeding their ARC post exactly what the problem is and what led up to it? If someone's already mentioned the same problem, go ahead and write your own version of the problem anyway. I'd like to get an exceedingly detailed report on this in the hopes that it'll get fixed faster, and every post you all make is going to help me out on that front.

Thanks everybody.

The experience that I had was that I switched faction to rebel to complete the quest while I was still RSF Ace. I managed to get the quest done and got the deed. Unpacked ship first time without issue. Decided to grind more Aces so I packed ship to deed and changed to Black Epsilon. Grinded to 4333 and wanted to take a friend out in new ship where I got the message, you must complete the mission to generate ship. I had switched back to imp on ground again as soon as quest was finished. I did generate the ship as rebel originally before I switched back to imp though.

I still have the quest showing as completed in my quest Journal but I havent tested to see if going back to rebel and unpacking will help me

My experience was this:

I mastered Rebel Alliance Pilot first, then working my ground CL up enough to do the Queen's quest. Recieved my ARC170 deed and it generated fine. Decided that the Jedi Starfighter would look good in my datapad, so I deeded all my ships and dropped Rebel pilot. I then entered the Imperial Inquision and ground to 1111 then did the quest. Got my ETA-2 deed and dropped Imp pilot. Became a Freelancer with the Smugglers Alliance and ground to 4333. My ETA-2 deed generated perfectly, but upon trying to re-generate my ARC170, I receieve the message "You have not completed the quest....". A bit of an annoyance really. Glad to hear something is being worked on.

Thanks Tomo.

OK, here's what happened to me:

I went rebel combatant, spoke to the queen, go the mission, everything was going just according to the guide in the quests forum. After getting out of the Dathomir prison and launching into space, I made a few mistakes (and old equipment, etc. I was a 4333 pilot at the time of the mission) and got blown up by the squad of TIE's, and oviously failed the quest.
At this point, I went back to the queen (again as a rebel combatant) to try to restart the quest. When I try to talk to her, she just wants to chat and catch up, no dialog options at all from her. At this point, I noticed that I had an ARC 170 deed in my inventory, and when I try to generate it, it says that I have not completed the quest for this ship.

Dropped BE ace to go reb, went combatant and spoke to the queen, completed the mission without a single hitch, got my deed no problem, even my quest journal says so.

Didn't try generating the deed as reb as i wasn't certified. Dropped reb, went Imp, used the double xpperiod get to tier 4 Inquisiton asap.

When i got to tier 4 i tried to undeed and got the haven't completed quest message.

Dropped Ace, Colonel and 50k faction cos i really wanted this ship :/

Dunno if this will work but it's worth a shot. Go back and talk to the wookiee in the trando camp by the shuttle and see if you can get the last part of the quest again from him, where he sends you to Dathomir. If that doesn't work go and talk to the wookiees at the Dathomir prison.

I'm not saying this will work, but usually when you fail a part of a quest if you go back to the last person you talked to you can continue on from where you were before you failed.

I was in the same boat as everyone else, did the quest, got the deed, then went Imp to get the JSF and went back to rebel pilot. Got to 4333 and upon using the deed was told I hadn't completed the quest.

I was able to speak with the queen again though and was offered a conversation option along the lines of 'something came up' which seems to be a universal quest NPC conversation option to restart the quest. Did the same with Boba Fett. I finally finished the quest a second time (after lots of other bugs) and got a quest complete and a 2nd deed.

It seems that the issue is that when you drop a faction it messes with your quest logs. That's how I also got bugged on the Heavy X-Wing quest. I was well into the quest line after speaking with Eyma (I said the pirate were strong), had done a few more missions from the station, but I hadn't finished before I went Imp for the JSF. Now I'm in the same loop as everyone else.

THANK YOU FOR ACTING ON THIS MOST ANNOYING BUG, TOMO.

Here's my story, very simple.

I am Master RSF/Ground Rebel. I got the mission, completed all the steps up to protecting the Wooks in space from the TIE's. Since I'm RSF I could not target the TIES. I watched for about 20 minutes until the Wookiees' ship was destroyed. Then I realized I could take the mission again and declare my REBEL status in spaceand thus target the TIE's and complete the mission. SO, I get back to the Queen at Naboo and when I talk to her I get the "You have completed the quest, an ARC-170 deed has been placed in your inventory". I still have the deed mocking me in my inventory.....When I try to generate it it says somethinglike, "Youhave not completed the quest necassary to fly this vessel."

BAH!

Thats what happened to me only I failed the mission because I resigned the pilot squadron I was in.

I have had the same problem, only coming from the opposite direction. As a Rebel pilot I can no longer unpack my Jedi Starfighter, because it says I haven't completed the quest. It also seems to have reset my quest journal as well.

I believe this is related to the "Quest Complete" status being dropped when you drop pilot.

I did my first Rebel Ace and got the Arc, unpacked it, flew it once, then redeeded it. I dropped Rebel Ace and picked up the next Rebel Ace. When done, I had a friend who wanted a ride in it, so I went to unpack it and.... "You have not completed the quest for this..." (exact text? I forget).

So, on a whim, being a Rebel Ace for the 2nd time, I went and talked to Kylantha and she set me out on the quest again. I completed it and now I have 2 ARC fighters AND can unpack and redeed (at whim) both.

It seems the "Arc Quest Complete" tag you get for doing the quest gets reset when you drop pilot. I've actually considered "grinding" these ships for the purpose of selling.

ARC deeding problems, consider yourselves owned.

Very nice info, I passed that along earlier today.
