Thread: Your joystick
I guess I will sart out.
I've been flying with the Logitech 3D Pro but a friend told me about the Saitek series and I fell in love so now I'm flying with the Saitek X52.
Logitech seemed to be a good cheap stick that covers everything you *need*.
Saitek X52 covers everything you *WANT*
The feeling of this stick Rocks. Nothing gives me the pilot feel like my X52 except maybe my chair tipping maybe... I miss that.
Unfortunately I've run into a few problems in JTL with the Saitek. I'm not sure if it's my system og JTL (as most complaints stopped around January 2005), but for oter games it's still my favorite.
What do you fly with?
I was a big believer in the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro until mine started to go bad on me. And when it went bad, it went *bad*. I flew a couple PvP events like that and got shot down and outmaneuvered because it wouldn't respond right. I finally got frustrated enough that I ditched it for a cheap-o Saitek.
Right now I'm using the Saitek ST290 Pro. Not sure how long it will last, but so far it's been a pretty good joystick. In all reality, all I want on a joystick is this:
Six buttons.
Throttle.
Twist handle.
Eight-way hat.
If you don't have a stick with a twist handle, I *strongly* recommend you invest in one. The ability to roll with precision is really key to helping improve your overall finesse in space. I know it seemed like my PvP skills doubled when I went to a twist handle for the first time.

X52. great j/sick even have one button for TS, so no need to touch the keyboard.
Are you able to swap the yaw and roll on the X52? I cant do it on my Top Gun Fox 2 Pro.

I use the X52 and its awsome. I don't have alot of time to sit down and make a profile for it, i just bind the buttons in game. If someone does make a profile post a link to it.
This is a Clicky to a profiler from the JTL board.

Ooh, that's a really good idea. I didn't know TeamSpeak would read the stick input. Gonna have to set that up myself.
