For those of you that didn't know: WO3 causes your weapon to use less energy per shot, and as far as I can see draw less energy from your reactor. On top of this it seems to also increase the damage of your weapon. This alone lets some keep their finger on the trigger with a good capacitator. But with the addition of capacitator overcharge, shield shunt has become something that we don't time because our shots take so little energy and our capacitator recharges so fast.
Now sure, this bug makes everything easier, but is that what we really want? Isn't it more fun when its a challenge and you are forced to time everything so your not left for space dust?
Edit: If your an imperial, try EO4 or EO2 along with Capacitator Overload 3 if you want to experience the severity of the bug.

Hah, so you DID make the post
Im gonna miss the bugged WO3, but it really needs to be fixed, and the sooner the better. I also can't wait to hear the complaints the fix will generate and see how it impacts the gameplay in space. If you really think about it, WO3, effects what you can do in alot of ways.

Now that you mention it you're right....shhhh shhhhh.
I kill rebs (Tier 4) in a few shots anyways and have plenty of surplus energy. If they changed this it really wouldn't effect my game.

You'd be suprised. I use weapon overload 3 before I use capacitator overcharge because the former actually does more in conserving energy =p.

You know, i really got giddy when i found i could smoke teir 4, teir 5 in about 3 hits in my krayt. Talk about making cash fast, i tore through BS duty missions and teir 5 mobs in kessel like butter.
Like i said, it WO3 effects the game in alot of different ways. To be honest, i do not like the idea of a nerf, AT ALL. But when normal play is tantamount to pushing a lawnmower and going over teir4 and teir 5's like blades of grass, well, somethings not quite right.
One more reason i went imp pilot, its more of a challenge.

As dumb as this sounds, I don't know how to get to Kessel. Can you give me a hint?

Rebel, i think it was dantooine sector if i remember right.
Privateer i beleive was dathomir
Imperial is endor sector.
I could be wrong, minor details like that i sort of brain dump the instant i changed professions.

go to endor system and find the imperial clow POI, go there and comm with the base and they ask if you want to go there, do so and ta-da.

haha you beat me there
anyway to the subject in hand, if they do nerf overcharge 3 (they at least need to make it realistic in comparison to the other overcharges) other factions will need to be balanced to compensate.

Honestly i dont see how, or why that would be neccessary. I don't view this as a nerf or fix to imperial pilot because regardless of where the droid programs come from, we all use the same programs.
Edit:
THe only other program you could really look at is Cap overload. ANd if you want to see how that pans out, use cap overload 3 with WO2 and WO4 and notice the difference.

I forgot to put this in my main post, I think I'll make an edit. Yes if your an imperial definitly try this if you don't belive the severity of the bug.

Ok I think you completely missed the fact that this is a bug.
Weapon overload programs are supposed to draw more energy from the capacitor. As it stands right now there is a bug that actually makes them draw significantly less energy even though the power of the weapon is increased. Essentially this amounts to having both weapon overload and capacitor overload in one program which was not the intent.
No one is asking for a nerf to the weapon overload, why would they when everyone uses this program anyway. The overload values on the damage output of the weapon will stay the same, they will simply fix the bug so that the weapon draws more power from the capacitor. It would be the equivalent of Engine overload 3 drawing less power from the reactor instead of more.
