Thread: How to Fix the Jedi Fighter.
Well the nerf crys keep comming up. Even thou these ships are one time things. Most the nerf crys I see are from rebel pilot who've never been on the other side. I have a Rebel and Imperial Main, who both spend almost ALL their game time in space overt.
Here is my counter proposal.... I do not support NERFing anything, but if balance is to be had, this is a good start....
(I copied these stats from the "New Ship Stats" Thread as well as the Pilot FAQ - thanks and credit given to the original posters...)
Current known ship stats in Green, My proposed changes in Red.

The main changes are in mass. Though the JSF and Greivous would fall in between an AWing and TIE Intercepter in terms of stats. Just an average in between the two actually. Same goes for ARC-170 except the mass is much higher, figure you may want to use those turrets.

Those stats still make the newbie heavys the best ships in the game. I way I look at it, playing my rebel toon I get satisfaction shooting down a Jedi Fighter, before taking out TIEs was rather easy, even the good oppressor pilots with Anti-AWing configs couldn't get me. My A-Wings top speed coupled with boost, meant that by the time he gets within missle range he cant get a lock because I'm behind him. His only change would be to turn on me...... good luck lol.
And remember folks, the Ship is only as good as the Pilot.

Don't make assumptions, if you would pay more attention to the arguments, you would see that the "rebel pilots" are also mentioning that the Heavy Z-95, and pretty much all of the new ships are way out of balance. It's not just the Glowstick Starfighter thta is targeted for these "nerf cries".
Um, your Cert 8 engine may not fit in an advanced, but mine sure as hell does, and sports a cert 8 and a cert 7 gun, AND has enough left over for an IR launcher.

The A-Wing has more mass and I was able to drop a really nice RE'ed level 8 engine in it. Both my TIE Advanced and TIE Interceptor can't use the engine and still be effective.

What if they just moved the Heavy Fighters and made them Tier 3 certs. They're about inline between cert3 and 4 certs now in regards to stats... well.. and an insane ypr...
Honestly, placing the certs in any tier isn't quite enough to make up for the insane stats. All that can be done is to fix them. Let them remain as is, and all other ships will be more or less obsolete.
I don't get it....I don't get any of what any of you are saying, it makes no sense.
As a Storm Ace, I have not even bothered to look at the new heavy TIE Ln .... you know why?
1 gun, 1 missle, and still less mass than what I fly now.
I can find no reason whatsoever for me to even bother trying to fit anything in it.
So any noob pilots will have a higher mass option than I did .... it won't last till they'll want more than 1 gun, 1 missle, and they'll move on to thier next tier ships like normal.
What's the big deal?
Imps got a fighter comparable to the A-wing .... big deal ... many wanted just such a ship to replace the aging light-wieght interceptor.
Rebel scum got a ship with a rear facing turret .... big deal ... many wanted such a thing after all this time dealing with the agressors.
Freelancers also got a light fast fighter .... big deal ... they wanted one.
It's not about ballance you idiots .. Kessel and DS are EMPTY.
I for one would like to say good job with these new ships .... just make it so the miner can mine ....
and someone tell me why the imperial space station handed me the deed to my new red interceptor, and a heavy X-wing badge! .... something smells fishy ..... Vader put you up to this!?!
