I apologize to anyone who does not like these types of threads, but I really, really wanted to show of this one time.
I got a set of level 10 loot weapons together and had my friendly neighborhood Shipwright drop in and reverse engineer them for me. The final product is as follows:
Drain: 2,025.4
Mass: 45,268.8
Damage: 2,874.7 - 5,029.9
vs. Shields: 0.808
vs. Armor: 0.800
Energy per Shot: 28.3
Refire: 0.391

It just gives me a warm, fuzzy feeling to think about slapping that into the top turret of a YT.

Very nice!
Now all you gotta do is find another one so you can have a matched set.

that is one sick damage and great vs shields as well. congrats to ya! my last question is why waste it in a multi player ship when it could go in your fighter though!?

Should have waited for a faster gun, maybe higher vs shields/armor... If you had waited for a gun with pre-RE speed of less than .4, your final speed would have been in the .370 range, helping your average DPS by quite a bit. Just getting the faster gun would have given you an extra 500DPS, an almost 6% increase.

looks like it would have been rather hard to beat the speed and especially the vs shield/armor to me.
I would think the stat to be improved upon may have been the mass myself.

I've got quite a few L10s stored, and the lowest refire I've seen is .395, which REs to a player-made-like .371.
I'm waiting on a high-damage gun before REing another - this one will be 3k lighter, use only 1819.4 energy, and have an effectiveness of .832/.806.

Very nice, especially when you tack on a 30-40% increase in damage depending on WO3/WO4.
I'm not sure if WO effects effectiveness, though.
But even so, 2874.7-5029.9 becomes 3737.1-6538.9 after WO3, and 4024.6-7041.9 after WO4, provided you feed the weapon enough juice, and remember to swing by Deep Space before landing to protect your investment.

Very nice on most of the stats, but the mass is still way too high. I know low mass level 10 guns are extremely hard to come by, but it really would have paid off to have waited for one. 45K+ mass is still not low enough to really be practical on normal ships.

45k after RE is relatively low for an L10 gun... lowest I've seen pre-RE is in the 45's and I've seen dang near 30 L10 guns, most being 55-75k
