Thread: RotW Bug Avoidance and Workarounds
- Don't tell Eyma the Ghrag mercenaries are weak. At some point in the Vaksai/Heavy X-Wing/Imperial Guard Interceptor quests, Eyma (the CPG guy down on Kachirho) will ask you whether the Ghrag mercenaries are strong or weak. If you say they're strong, you'll be directed to the next mission and everything will be roses and other such agreeable things. If you say they're weak, however, this seems to put pilots into a loop where they're directed between Eyma and Kashyyyk space station but never given the next mission in the series, preventing them from getting their new ships. So until this one's fixed, be sure to let Eyma know those Ghrag are a force to be reckoned with, even if you vaped them in two and a half seconds.
Update: fixed for some pilots as of publish 19, but those who've switched squadrons in the meantime are still bugged. Reported it and gotten confirmation, will continue to press the issue. - Don't drop your pilot squadron while you're under the influence of an Inspiration buff. I haven't tested this yet myself, but I'm pretty certain this will result in you losing 110% of your banked experience and prestige points rather than the standard 100%, putting you in a negative hole that will probably not be fun to pull yourself out of. So if you're looking to change squadrons, make sure you're not Inspired, and if you are inspired, wait till it wears off to drop your skills.
Update: this should be fixed with pub 20 - If you're a privateer going for the Vaksai but are a Rebel or Imperial on the ground, don't go to the factional station when Eyma tells you to, as the factional stations will give you either a Heavy X-Wing or an Imperial Guard Interceptor which you won't be able to fly. Instead, just talk to Kashyyyk station again. It should give you the option for the challenge missions that will grant you the Vaksai. If you've already gotten the X or Int as a privateer, you can still get the Vaksai (and you may well want to get both it and a factional craft), but just don't be concerned if you followed the quest's directions and ended up with the X-Wing or TIE.
- If you've completed the Vaksai, Heavy X-Wing, or Imperial Guard Interceptor quests and are the correct pilot faction to use them (privateer, Rebel, and Imperial, respectively), but are unable to deed your ship, check how many badges you've got. If you've got less than 5 total badges, hit a few POIs until your total reaches 5, then try deeding your ship again. This also seems to be a requirement to fly the Belbullab-22 and Eta-2.
- Do not take more than one space mission at once. If you've already got a space mission, be it a mining quest, a Vaksai mission, a duty, whatever, make sure you don't accept another. Doing so can confuse your trainers and prevent you from advancing in your squadron or being able to accept new missions, even when your old ones are complete.
- If you've got the ARC and are planning on dropping your pilot squad, be sure to deed the ship before you do. Dropping your squad will prevent you from being able to unpack your ship at a later date, so be sure it's in your datapad before you move on.
A fix is on the way for this.
If anyone else has any tips for ways to avoid or get past recent bugs, please add them here so I can edit them in to this post. (Title changed to reflect the addition of workarounds.)

Post a ticket and pray.
I know that's not really an acceptable answer, but I am pushing hard to get this fixed. It's at the very top of our bug list right now.
Confirmed..this happened to me when i dropped privateer to go Imp.

We wait for some kind of fix.
Thankfully Tomo is doing all that is possible to bring this to the forefront of Dev communication, so a fix should be on the way as soon as possible.
Ticket doesn't work. They just say to put in a bug report and there is nothign else they can do for you.

Geez I got tagged with both of these. A ticket worked on Valcyn for the XP thing, at least for pilot XP. I'm still minus 700k of Imperial prestige though.
As for the crimson TIE, I'm pretty pissed off. I paid for an expansion that I'm afraid to play for all the bugs. I've tried 2, and got screwed by two (Jedi and now this).

This statement mirrors my feelings exactly. I've stopped doing any quests for fear that I won't get the reward. It's unforgivable from a major Online Games company.
Can you switch from the Imp allied Neutral to the Smugglers Alliance without dropping all Tier boxes? I know someone who needs to do this, but don't want him to have to drop everything.
