Most of the ones I have talked to do not read this forum and do not know about the bugged hitbox. They are usually pretty skeptical when we tell them that their ship is very very hard to hit with blasters. The only one I met who knew his ship was bugged was packing countermeasures. Gee, I wonder why.

/shrug. I do wish it'd get sorted or at least centred and made so that hitbox can be touched from the side however, I'd much prefer to take on a squadron of RG TIE pilots and lose than simply get E-pulsed for example.

The one guy I've seen flying them since ROTW launched used it for loot farming in Deep Space. When we did a go round of PvP, he offered to go get his Oppressor, so I can't fault him overmuch. Still beat him with guns only in an Advanced X-Wing.

They're tough, but far from unbeatable.

when i see an RGI, i'm going to epulse then tell them its a bugged ship.... then they can chose if they want to continue using it or not, i only epulse RGI and Norram on the bria server. All he does is launch missles... i've seen him go full fights, only missles, no blaster shots at all. and the one time that he used blasters, he snuck up behind me and shot while i had 1ISD, 5 tie fighters(assorted) and a few gunboats in the area...

fun.

Okay I am not much of a forum troll. The RGI is bugged? Please re-explain this one for me?

i don't know the exacts, but its something like the wings are unhitable, so u have to hit it headon, or tail on to land a hit.... or the box is too small for blasters.

I see. Well to answer your question. I have the RGI. I only wanted it because of the look of it. I rarely even fly it because it only has one weapon port, and I don't really care to use counter measures when I am just out grinding.

Well, as far as I'm concerned EP3 isn't cheating, nor is missile use. In tight furballs with a lot of traffic blocking shots, I'll spaz IR IIs till I'm out. Now, for one on ones, I don't missile simply because the feckers are too expensive to waste when guns will do.

As for the RG TIE, its a challenge to me. I won't piss and moan when I see one coming, I'll pull my same attack pattern, disable the reactor, then tell the pilot to eject because I don't feel like wasting time lining up the kill shot. (Note: I did NOT do this to the RG TIE I've faced already, he was cool about it, so I did try lining up the shot and gave up after three minutes. )

lol its disabled and u gave up after 3 minutes, yeah, exactly, its stupid. and don't getme wrong, i prefer to dogfight over EP3 any day, i die a lot in DS and i kill a few in DS hehe, but whatever, i guess its in the eye of the beholder.

Cheating is making use of a bug or some kind of aspect of a game which gives someone an unfair advantage and along which it was never intended to be made use of.

Epulse and missiles aren't cheating. Neither is using an RG TIE, JSF etc. It all comes down to personal oppinions. My oppinion is that Epulsers should learn how to fly. However, missiles can be countered with chaff and by avoiding the initial lock. RG TIES can be shot down eventually and are only really a concern when a decent pilot is flying one...but all the good pilots I know fly different ships because they simply don't need the hitbox advantage.

To be honest, apart from the fact that it is ugly and there are too many of them, I really don't mind JSFs to be perfectly honest.

As for Norram Kreindhild....all I can say is he is beatable. I managed it so other people can too. Just avoid the initial lock. It isn't like there is much big group (if any?) space pvp on Bria, so I'm taking you're going against him head to head....just fly a weaving pattern and as soon as you're just about to pass, pull around tightly and stick on his tail. Missiles are not an 'I win' button. Even an A-wing can be set up and flown sufficiently to deal with them.

I'm glad to see you taking more interest in space btw. Shame there wasn't much interest when I was around. Is Eshiem etc still in Dhara's Elite?

I go for the theory most of them don't read the boards and don't know how bugged the ship is.

And I do consider it cheating to fly the RGI - it's bugged, therefor an unfair advantage. It's up there with loadkilling and shield/weapon exploits.
