Hrm, good question, grey area.
Been in so long it's almost standard content now. And loot is so screwed up, it's hard to tell what we should be running... Eh, I just run WO4 and ignore the problem.

I might have to get WO4. I mean, being the shameless hipocrit that I am, I use WO3 on the basis that everyone I know uses it and the fact I have one weapon on a 66k mass starfighter wheras the majority of other people have two weapons on a 90k mass fighter with better stats, I justify it. Hmm..how much extra damage does WO4 put out though? I'm curious now..

The droid program linked in the FAQ has numbers for you. I run WO4 to make up for my single weapon. But...um...I do run WO3 on my two gun ships. I supposed WO3 is open to everyone, doesn't give you an "I Win" button, and at best makes energy management child's play. Still a cheat, but so minor I don't feel worked up by it. Unlike, say, loadkilling.

I go for the theory most of them don't read the boards and don't know how bugged the ship is.
And I do consider it cheating to fly the RGI - it's bugged, therefor an unfair advantage. It's up there with loadkilling and shield/weapon exploits.
How about WO3?
Exploit in my book.

Is loadkilling a big issue on Bloodfin? I mean, I was reflecting upon my passionate lack of respect towards regular epulsers and then I thought...hang about, I only know a couple. So I kind of ditched that sentiment now. WO3 would be fun if it was fixed, but I don't have any moral issues with it because I'm a corrupt, shallow person when I want to be

Hasn't been for a while. Used to be a group of three rebels who would camp the load in. I never enter DS without full throttle and boosters flaring anymore, and I haven't seen anyone do it in ages. Just seems so cheap, it really pissed me off. Completely negated the game of flying.

We've had to police ourselves a bit on Kettemoor. After beating the Imperials, some of us would go after the ISD. We weren't intending to camp, but the load zone is right on top of the thing. Themethod we used to clear the matter was to fall back to 0,0,0 in DS after a round.
Worked pretty well for the event.

loadkiling is stupid.. no pvp points in space, no damage to ships in DS etc... i just don't get why people do it

Thats the main thing isn't it really. People can never settle on anything in this game because it is so versatile and it all comes down to your own oppinions. I mean, one guys exploit is another guys tactic etc. If only people could see that my way is the one true way...j/k.
But seriously, Kreind, if I go back to Bria, I'll be Imperial and flying a standard squint. In fact..I might even go Freelance and get a Vaksai. I havn't got the time to set up a new A-wing and I'm not touching a Heavy 95...too ugly.
People keep forgetting that the most important factor in this game is how cool your ship looks.

heh, ur wrong!!!!! the 95 isn't that bad!!! go smuggler alliance on bria, and i'll help you get the vaksai... i'll hook you up leaph, and i'll hook up most other pilots on BRIA. space is fun cause its not really the same as ground pvp..

The best way to avoid the grey area is to not call other people cheaters. :-)
I've been too busy grinding four chars up to master to play with the RGI, but now that you've reminded me that it's bugged, I may have to load it up to loot farm with. :-)

I consider the RGI cheating as well. I think the majority of ppl know it already. But I do run into ppl that just don't know yet and you have to let them know. Yesterday for example i was running around DS in my Z and ran into animp. Sent him my warning as I worked on my angle, came in and started shooting at him. I didn't realize he was in a RGI until I was on him. I got one hit on him and it only took his shields and armor down to 50%. Surprised me. So round and round we go with me on his tail and me not hitting him. He boosted out at a speed I couldn't match and came back in and got a lucky hit on me. I sent him a tell saying I don't really consider it a loss for me or a win for him since he's in the RGI. But he was like what? But you hit me to. Blah blah blah. Had to explain to him about the RGI. He never replied back after that and I didn't see him in DS after I got back in. The whole time I was like, man, why didn't I pack some missles on here, wish I had EP right now. Ah well, was a moral victory I suppose. lol
Leph as for load ganking on Bloodfin... well on the ground that is common practice.. annoying. But in space it doesn't happen much. Still happens from time to time and the person who does it becomes public enemy number 1 until they get the point or apologize. But as Nes said, doesn't happen a lot anymore. Though it did happen to me last week.
With missles of all things. Wasn't happy about that one.
