Thread: TIE Aggressors
RobbPilot wrote:I just encountered NPC TIE Aggressors yesterday for the 1st time. Holy cow those things rock for their level! They were much harder to deal with than other vessels two levels above them. The thing that made them such a pain to deal with is that they have a very powerful rear-firing weapon that will chew you up if you try to get on their tail. On top of that, they are fast, nimble and have decent shields. My question to you imperial pilots is... is the TIE Aggressor multi-passenger when you fly it, and can a player gunner operate that tailgun? That would be a pretty wild ride for sure. I'm a privateer, so I don't know much about imperial craft.I had to use a sort of head-on jousting tactic against them, because attempting to get behind them was self-defeating.
Yeah, they are pretty tough, but if you have a pretty nice shield, and Cap Shunt, then your fine and you can blast them from behind.

To the original poster:
NPCs aggressors may seem good, but the ones a player can fly frankly aren't all that great. One forward gun, and another gun for a gunner to use but can't hit anything with. They have 120k mass, and very average manuverability.
In short, Tie aggressors suck.
They suck going against the NPC version as a rebel pilot
and the PC version sucks as well.
Too true, I just ended up being flamed for pointing somebody to the FAQ twice. The question there was answered, but not in reply to the exact question ... and it took me about 20 seconds to find it.

Why did you do the work for him? That's why we all say "Read to FAQ". People just expect us to give them the answer and you just encouraged the behavior. Why? Why did you do that?

What is the point in having a community, if all we say is "read the faq"
Provided, it is a great source of info.
And yes there is that whole "are you too lazy to read the faq?" argument. But on the other side of the same coin, there is "are you to lazy to lend someone some help?"
And I've already heard the "im getting sick of typing the same info over and over again cause no one will read the faq"
I'm saying that there is always someone that will give the info, so if you don't want to, then don't say anything at all and someone will come along with something that will help the original poster. Otherwise that person might get tired of waiting and go ead the faq on his/her own.
But just saying "read the faq" is just saying "I dont know off the top of my head and I cant be bothered to look it up for you cause I'm only here for myself"
