sense it the jedi starfighter is being introdued it woudl be nice and fit in if the headsets worn while piloting were added as well. i am making reference ot the wire type head set you see obi-wan and anakin wear in the movies while they r flying. just woudl be a nice added touch. dont flame just a suggestion.

*scratches head* But you can't see your head in a starfighter.

For the record; there is a possibility that all the EP3 ships are going to the Freelancer/Privateer... and not to the Rebels or Imps.

Jedi Fighter is an EP3 ship; Jedi's today wouldn't be flying around in a fighter thats 20 years old, or older... they'd be using the latest and greatest technology most likely.

But anyway, as for the EP3 ships in RoTW being cert'd for Privateer, that is something that was mentioned and discussed in the Smuggler Forum last week.

So if its true, and Jedi's want their 20 year old hunk of junk; they'll be dropping their JTL Rebel/Imp faction status, and work up the Privateer tree to fly one.

But then that makes more sense and in line with how Star Wars is... if there were any Jedi in the GCW, they'd be rogue's and/or in hiding and not alligning themselves with either the Empire or the Alliance.

They didn't start coming back out till after the Empire fell and Luke opened his school for them.

But you can wear them on the ground.
Your post said while in flight.

Solo wore a comm when talking to his gunners. I'd like to see something like it as a craftable, wearable piece of equipment. But Jedi-Fighter only... no.

Those where not 'Jedi' Headsets, for the most part they looked to be something like the 'Land Warrior' system that the U.S. Army has been working on for the past ten years or so. For the most part the headset is more likely to be much like the new Helmets the Air Force is working on, namely all the info a pilot would have around the cockpit is moved onto a small screen and works with or replaces the pilots HUD. Along with that a pilot can fire a missile and have it track by moving his head and keeping his eyes on target.

More then likely the Tie, Rebel and Freelance Ace Helmets have that system 'build' in, along with little things like lifesupport and more systems. So by the time of New Hope those Headsets would more then likely be outdated.

Han and Luke used similar headsets in ANH while gunning on the Millennium Falcon. I see no reason why we shouldn't have them.

As opposed to running around Theed wearing a starfighter helmet or your underwear?
