I knew someone would say that. You'd still be outdamaged by every ship with 3 slots and the right RE'd weapons.

on the top above the cockpit perhaps, or even immediately above one of the other guns as a double-up? There's lots of empty space on the big behemoth.
If you're worried about it not looking like what we saw in the movies, can I remind you about the X-Wings? They never had that third weapon slot on the wings, close to the cockpit. But nobody complains about that.

I have to disagree on this. I fly my Firespray A LOT. Having only two hardpoints for weapons is one of the defining personality traits of the chassis.
For what it's worth (all IMO)...
Accuracy is key to flying this thing. You will always be outdamaged if you're lower gun is only hitting 10% of the time. I noticed my overall damage output go up tremendously after I dedicated some serious time to improving my aim. And as other have said, the right RE'ed weapons make a huge difference.

Let's examine this "need" you see.
In PvE the point is moot, since the amount of damage any master ship can do will take out any NPC in short order. You're asking for the Firespray to be upgraded to heavy gunship status, and that's not really its intended role.
I PvP the point is also moot, since 1 salvo from 2 high level guns has the same effect as 1 salvo from 3 or 4 high level guns.
I'm just not getting what you're driving at. Why make the KSE into something its not? Each master ship is slightly different, and that's a good thing. Making them more alike? Sounds pretty boring.

I understand your point. But the Firespray should be a threat to fighters, and a very harsh one at that. The way it competes in this game against X-wings and Rihxyrks is attrocious. If I go out to Kessel or someplace to loot, or fly with guildmates to help them level their missions, I'd rather not have to take my X-wing out every time because it's a better at outdamaging. I'd really like to be able to have a master level ship that competes.
That's just my opinion, and I know that most other Firespray owners are equally disappointed.

Sounds like you're talking about looting rights more than anything. That's nutty, since when my aimis good, I can get rights over an Xwing using my Z95 with an overloaded level5 gun.
Making each ship fair when it comes to looting, isnt a can of worms that needs to even be touched in these forums I think. There are a lot of things you can do to help yourself in that area without a call to change the ship.
When it comes to mission help, the only time the lack of another gun would become apparent in the KSE is when you're trying to take down tier5 ships quickly. There are only a few rare instances of tier5 in missions, apart from the 30 ships in Kessel, so the change you want, just plain doesnt seem that necessary.
You're still not adequately defining what you mean by competing with other ships, so I can't understand still why this is important.

The two post RE level 10'sIuse do aminimum of 5600 points combined (before factoring in the 0.850 effectivness). That's 500 points more than my three level 7's that I use in my x-wing. After canceling out speed and effectivness, the 2 level 10's outdamge the 3 level 7's by a decent margin.
I use those 10's in my oppressor which is 40k lighter in mass than your Firespray. Sounds like you want to have your cake and eat it too.

If your main point is Firespray vs X-wing, why not solve it the way it should be...take the 3rd gun off the X-wing, the one that does not actually exist!

That's what all these threads turn out to be. I don't know why I ever bother posting my opinions. In game, everyone seems to agree with me. I come in here and I just get a lot of hot air and posturing.
Let me put it this way. The Firespray is the ship most people drool over. It's the rarest and by far the most expensive ship. It should be a force to be reckoned with, it should meet and even exceed expectations- and not simply be just another ship that's about equal to others.

OK then, if you think the Firespray is where it should be firepower-wise, relative to other ships...
Please explain to me why the Krayt is so uber? That's one ship that can be taken down a notch. But then again, I've always felt the freelancers had the best ships. IMO, the Firespray should at least be on par with the Krayt, otherwise, why bother getting it if not simply for the 'prestige' of owning one?
