You can cross faction between squadron and ground. If you're an Imperial on the ground for the mission, you cannot be a rebel in space.

nope, heres what i did.......quit rebel pilot and rebel ground, bought 6k imp faction, joined imp ground, went to dath, got datapad, went to kash, escorted atst, killed rebels, killed more rebels, got jsf from vader, blew off vaders mission (aborted it right as soon as i got the mission), quit empire, ground out 200 rebel fp, got rebel ground, got up to 4333 rebel pilot, undeeded my jsf....loaded it up, flew it......just for the hell of it, i unloaded it and redeeded it, then undeeded it, works just fine, and vader's space mission was never done

What you REALLY wanna do is abort the space mission and then go talk to Vader again. If you answer in a stupid manner, he'll lightning your butt and you can get screenies of being killed by the Dark Lord

Or you can go kill necrosis or pay ~200kish for a belbullab, exactly the same with a marginally larger hitbox or something. Plus you can use a flight computer and dont need a astrodroid.
But i suppose you just like the looks

Belbullab also has a higher starting chassis value. It also demonstrates more "float" in turns.

Because you need to be at least Imperial combatant to start and do parts of the JSF quest.

you have to quit reb pilot because you can't be an imp combatant and a rebel pilot at the same time
