Thread: What are the best ships?

85K mass, 2 guns, 1 missle, teir 1.
One of the best ships in the privateer lineup, and real cheap for a SW to make.

Hmm. I started freelance and got a dunelizard.
Then I turned imperial and got a tie now. I wander if its worth swapping. (can i have two characters on diff servers)?
Thanks for the tips darth.
You can have like 13 characters, but none can be on the same server.

Comparable to an Interceptor??? At this point, you could easily make it go faster than the Interceptor because it's got something like ~45k mass more than it lol. Having flown both, the Heavy TIE beats it with its hand tied behind its back, blindfolded and hanging from a tree branch.
I DO want to makea good TIE Inteceptor because it's so cool-looking though.
I have flown both as well and found them to be similiar when using identical equipment (same parts, different chassis). Use lvl 2 and 3 cert items in both craft and they are comapareable to each other. The T/I has an advantage in that the target profile is smaller than the Heavy TIE (not the hitbox, two different things and don't make me go into actual fighter characteristics because it's my job
I see. I just found the low mass on the TIE Interceptor very limiting. It sucked. You remember the time we were with that reb friend of yours and I was in an Eyeball? That was the night I got my Squint.

RE'd L6 engine, and L7 boltdriver. L2 cap, MK III shield, MK II booster, MK II reactor.. stuff like that.

Ummm... hexagonal vertical wings and a hexagonal cockpit front window. It's a pretty TIE-looking design IMO. It was obviously put in the movies to show a precursor to the Episode IV TIEs.
I think we're all forgetting to look at the facts here. Clearly, and quite objectively, the Imperial ships are the best. I mean...just look at them! They fly nice, have great view out the front window, and come cheap! Nothing compares to the feeling of racing out a hanger bay, knowing you fly for the glory of the Empire.
Seriously, there isn't any other choice. Go Imperial all the way.
(And if you want a serious answer to a rather nonsensical question, there clearly is no "best" ship. The fact that Leaph and I fly sub par fighters quite successfully should suggest that to you. Fly what's fun, min/maxing doesn't work well in space.)
Hmm i loved starting out as rebel, stopped at x-wing and kept it all the way to master (and still love it). Then i went privateer and loved most of them (didnt get the kimo and the ixyien was a whale) but the Rihk IS my favourite PvE ship to date. Cant go wrong with insane firepower (however the heavy-X is the same mass and higher manouverabilty so that surpasses it). And imp what can i say getting to 1111 was one of the funnest things ever, starting on 500 top speed and not 350ish like the other two was amazing. In some ways the starting TIE is almost the most fun ship in the game imo of course, and the inty+RGI are beauties also.
In short every pilot prof has a great ship or 3 so try em all ![]()
Fly them and find out.
Seriously, you will find everthing being touted as best here...from Y-Wings to A-Wings, from TIE Bombers to JSF and Interceptors.
Just fly them and see what you like.
