Yes: If they are going to let aliens in the armed forces might as well let them put on the thing. No reason to argue continuity with all the glowbats running around.

Yes; Don't let racism even get close to this game. Even if it is a ficticious alien race. Being in the military myself I know that if you are issued a piece of equipment it should fit and function for you. Clean, Dry, and servicable.

Yes: I would like to see a version of each helmet for each species.

However, how that would tie in to the continuity would be a sticky topic, especially for the Empire...perhaps something along the lines of, "Pilot, you have been given a great honour. You have proven yourself to be above those of your...er...species. The Empire has taken the highly unusual step of awarding you with a custom-made helmet, in recognition of your efforts. Congratulations!"

That would be great. For the rebellion, it could be similar;

"We had this delivered today...apparently High Command thinks you're worthy to receive a custom fitted helmet! You must have impressed someone upstairs!"

Dunno for freelance..guess it depends on what squad you'er with.

Also, as an ace reward then yeh they should all function really for everyone. I don't wear my helmet even though it is quirky and bugged

Been to the Imperial Retreat lately? No I'm not going to mention the zab pilot trainers, you've got Grand Admiral Thrawn and Lord Hethrir
niether of which are human. Don't like it because it's EU? Original Trilogy didn't show much racism in the Empire unless you zeroed in on the Prison guard calling Chewabaca a thing. Compared to Leia calling Chewie a 'walking carpet' and the fact that he didn't get a medal at the end of A New Hope you'd expect Chewie to be sitting in the back of the falcon if he wasn't the co-pilot.

NO: the hats should fit normally if they can't then those in question should be sent to the spice mines of kessel or made to be cooks on Capital Ships

I think it is stupid that people bring the question of racism into Starwars and treat it as an issue. When it comes down to it, the Empire was a fascist, Xenophoebic, intolerant government but it -had- to be or it wouldn't be evil would it?! No, 'aliens' should not be allowed in the Imperial navy and I agree for canon reasons and wouldn't have it any other way if this game actually did stay true to canon, however believing that doesn't make a person racist in real life. There is a boundary and that boundary is defined by these two words. Fiction and Nonfiction. I find it horrifying that such scrutinous political correctness is being promoted by some of the fan base in and out of this game at times.

Now saying that, for the game and this is what I believe for this context, yes I think aliens should be able to wear the helmets and be in the Empire etc. Why? Well because this is a game. It has been made blatantly obvious that this game is not following canon and rather than being set in the period it would have us believe, it is more of an all round Starwars 'Themepark', as in SOE have made a StarWars universe which is more or less timeless. You can be whatever you like and do whatever you like (more or less) so if you are a person who wants to be a Wookie TIE Fighter pilot...you should be entitled to the gear. I mean, above all other things, how is the damn thing going to breathe? TIE Fighters didn't have life support. In fact! It could be argued that you should get a life support suit straight away upon flying your first ever mission since currently you only even get the flight suit (sans helmet) at tier one no matter what race you are. The fact too, that Wookies can wear clone armour says somthing. I mean CLONE armour. The contradiction is in the name. One size fits ALL or no wait, there was a wookie clone..erm, no not buying that sorry so yeh..SOE should make everything fit everyone. In fact, I think it is appalling that humans cannot wear Wookie Ceremonial armour

Feel free to blow holes in my arguement. Fact is though, I kind of feel this whole topic is ridiculous.
