Thread: Best way to get Credits from Pilot

I am a Pilot Ace and was wondering what is the best way to get fast credits from it. When I was doing my Tier 4 duty missions I was getting from 200-700 credit chips a kill and looting some parts that I would sell to chassis dealers. When I finished the duty mission which took an hour and a half, I landed and sold all the parts and from the credit chips and money earned from finishing waves I got about 300k. Is there a way to do this faster or should I just pick up duty missions and run them?

Duty missions is definitly the way to go for fast credits... I usually run the destriy pirates from Dantooine Space station. All tier 2 and 3 spawns and I make around 600-800K an hour. Just load up a heavy fighter with all firepower and no armour and light shields. Then it's 1 shot kills all the way and you can clear the big waves in a matter of seconds... My record is 11 seconds on a 6 ship wave blasters only...

imperial star destroyer, you usually get 15k+ credit's per kill and I can kill it in a matter of about4-5 passes.

First pass just strafe across the top, taking out both shield gens, then bank down to take out the engines come up on the side to take out the reactor. After that it's a couple runs to take down the bridge, but basically you can take everything cept the bridge out in the first run and it respawns fairly fast.

BUt blowing up the SD is so selfish, since it'll empty Deep space completely everytime it dies, and it causes massive lag for some when it opens fire...

heh, I'm always so pleased when I'm trying to farm high level loot from the gunboats in Deep Space and everything hypers out.

However, if you can take down the ISD once every 5 minutes, you're only making 180k per hour. Yes, you can do ONE ISD faster, but I'm not sure if you can sustain a rate of 1 ISD in <5 minutes consistently. Especially if an Imp comes in and pops you. More likely, you'll be competing with Vegi for the credit chip.

It probably takes me under 2mins to take it down, but then you gotta wait a couple minutes for the respawn. And yes you do always have to keep an eye open for them pesky imperials, but that's part of the fun. I've had a few sneak up on me while I was trying to kill the ISD but if they don't catch me offguard they're in trouble . And Vegi may beat me in PvP, but he may find it a little more difficult to beat me in PvE .

And I don't see anywhere else where you can make more than 180k per hour in space. One person posted he was making 800k an hour running duty missions, but somehow I see that as very unlikely since your normal credit chip is under 1k. which means you would have to kill 800+ ships in an hour, that means you would have to consistantly kill one every 7.5 seconds nonstop for a full hour. Odly enough I simply don't see that happening, you have to wait in between spawns on a duty mission as well which would throw that off. However I suppose if you multiplied that x4 that would put ya up to roughly 1 kill every 30 seconds to equal the same amount as on the ISD, but the ISD just seems like a lot more fun.

Find a shipwright who buys parts at above cost - some will offer as much as 2k per level of the item, but standard seems to be about 1.5k. You'll make a lot more than you will off the chassis dealer. The other trick is to learn what stats are good on what parts, and put those up on the bazaar. Especially good weapons and engines, those can fetch several times what that greedy punk in the starport will give you.

The ISD comes complete with a fighter screen that occassionally manages to get out from under it to keep you company. Since I've gone to the Advanced X-Wing, though, I've found that hunting Decimators and the gunboat fighter screens is actually MUCH faster. Deci's are a charm out there. Just open up with your weapons and specify Weapon 0. I can usually batter the shields and armor on the first pass, then pass two nails the guns, then a minor loop for the kill.

YE-4sI won't touch unless there's absolutely nothing else out there.

For whatever reason, I guess its to make thePvP risk worth dealing with for Loot Farmers, the AI's in Deep Space NPCs are pretty lame and passive. Nothing like the Satanic AI's in Kashyyyk.

I still have nightmares about the Chiss Nova Couriers...

When I say I can make 6-800K an hour it's with the cash the loot brings in. It's so crappy from tier 2 and 3 I might as well just sell it.

I routinely make 200k+ an hour doing tier 4 duty missions and sometimes I get some worthwhile loot.

I don't find the AI in DS different than any other AI. It's just not geared towards the hypermaneuverable and firepower-heavy ships that we have these days. And the AI in Kashyyyk is exactly as predictable as every other AI. It is just equipped with bigger, better and faster ships... In my opinion at least...

If you take the time, prob could even sell your loot to a SW. I know I buy loot for 1500 per level. Net you 50% more credits going that way.
