Hi, everyone..
I have some question in regards with droid command..(imp)
1: Weapon overload ? Does it mean i do more damage... or the regen is faster..?
2: Weapon tuning ? Does it mean it takes less power so less damage. And if true. Does it mean the power is available , let say, for shield to regen faster..
Same question for engine...(for tuning)
I have loaded the droid command in my fligh comp. yesterday..
This aspect is very cool.. but im not sure about the overload and the tuning... I know the other one.. Normalize or something like that (dont remember) must be there to reset le changes done to nomal...
Thanks for your help guys...

Weapon overload does a couple of things:
1. It increases the amount of reactor energy the weapon requires.
2. It increases the amount of capaciter power consumed per shot.
3. In increases the amount of damage delt per shot.
Weapon Tuning does the exact opposite. It decreases all three of the above.
Engine overload increases the top speed and y/p/r speeds of your engine, but makes it require more reactor power. Engine tuning decreaes all of these.
Reactor overload increases the amount of power generated by your reactor.
NONE of these programs alters how much capaciter power you have, nor how fast your capaciter recharges. NONE of these programs alters your shields nor how fast your shields recharge.
Note that if you are near your reactor limit (the power stat in your ship management screen) and then you overload weapons or engines, some components might not have enough power. If they do not have enough power they will show a small triangular icon to the left of the component in the ship info screen (V key in space). They will also show an "efficiency" stat. This will show you how much performance for that device has been degraded from lack of proper power.
Example: In my Ixiyen, I have a reactor that provides 12299 power. My components, total, require 12100 power. When I launch and hit the V key to go to my ship info screen I see that none of my components are suffering from low power.
Now, if I then overload my engine and my weapons, I will see that my weapons are both in a low power state (triangular icon next to them) and when I click on them I see that they have an efficiency of 0.8. This means I'm losing 20% of the capability of that weapon.
At this point, I run my handy-dandy reactor overload three program. Suddenly all my low power conditions go away, and life is happy again.
Run a reinforce shield - rear command now to stack a little bonus shielding aft, in case of people getting on my six and I'm ready to go and rip up some starfighters.

Cool
Thanks for the clarification..
Another one....
I know i can trade prog. chip with other players..
Does this mean i can trade reactor and shield overload from other faction....?

Yes.
You can run any droid program, regardless of your faction. You just have to get a player from the other faction to burn the program to a blank program module.
I personally have all the level 2 rebel programs, all the level 2 imp programs, and the level 3 privateer programs loaded on a v4 flight computer. And I still have like 15 memory space free on it.

Do commands stick or do they reset with a different command. For instance if I run the reactor command from the Freelancer line then do the engine overload from the Imp line, then the capacitor overload from the Freelancer line will they all be running or will only the last one run be running? I only really have XP with rebel commands.

They will all be running as long as your reactor can handle the extra output.

thats why I was thinking of running reactor overload first. This should increase the reactor first then do the other stuff.
Thanks for the reply

they will all work. I run engine/cap/weap 3 everytime I launch. When you repair them they will reset fwiw

If you've only used rebel droid programs (rebel programs do not do any damage points to armour) , be aware that the droid overload programs from the other pilots above overload 2 will put somedamage pointsto your armour points. I use atmostoverload 3, prior to landing, request a repair all parts from the station manager. The overload programs above 3 will do more damage to your armour and when you repair you will notice the decay to the equipment.

Also using engine overlaod 4 will reset any droid programs that you've used before it....I don't know if this is a bug or not though......but when I fly my b-wing, I run engine overload 4, capacitor overlaod 4 and reactor overlaod 4 and everytime I run engine overload 4 after the others.....everything is reset to default except the engine overload 4. So know I just run engine overload 4 first and then everything else after it and all is fine....at least until I get repairs anyway.

The only things I've noticed that reset the other commands is
A. Repairing your ship at either a Starport or using the Rebel in space repair commands
B. Using Emergency commands. Emergency Shield, Emergency Weapons, and anything else that temporarily disable certain components\
C. And obviously, landing
