Hello all,

I finally got past the horrably bugged final Jabba pilot mission and am working on my 1st tier 4 box. My question is..... which tier 4 freelance ship is the best and why? Ive heard ppl say even as Master pilot their favorite was the Dunelizard, a tier 2 ship.

Post the best Imp and Reb ships as well, Im sure imps and rebs would like to know as well.

Thanks in advance for all your imput and advice.

The Tier 0 (Tier 1 for Imps) Heavy ships are some of the best ships you can pick up. Unless you don't like the look, there is very little reason to use anything else. At 4333, you are also certified for the Eta-2 (JSF), which is another good ship, from what I hear. Personally, I am in love with my Royal Guard Interceptor.

As a rebel, nothing beats the JSF I stole from the Imps. I prefer it over any rebel cert ship.

I still like my Dunelizard best.

... and it's a tier1 ship, not tier 2

I'm a big fan of my dunelizard and my Krayt. The Krayt especially with a gunner.

Dunelizard all the way to 4333, then I switched to my Jedi Fighter

I like the Rix. It has a fantastic weapon layout and a huge mass. Its not the most manoeuverable ship in the galaxy but its not bad.

Really its going to depend on how you like to fly. Do you like to joust or do the circle o doom thing. If the circle is your thing then get something light such as the vaksai and plink away at them. If you like to see things disintegrate on your first pass, try something heavy like the Rix.

I like watching things go boom. I like the Rix.

I'm loving the Heavy Scyk. The JSF is about the same thing except harder to hit and an extra gun. Personally I think its a little too good so I'm avoiding it.

I will be trying the Grievous out tonight or tomorrow. Finally got one last night. I'm not doing so fantastic on the gun department, I need to go out and farm lvl 6-10 parts for RE'ing. I have several reward guns but I could always use more...maybe I should master freelancer a few more times.

Most everyone on here likes the speed and maneuverability. I used the Rhix to Master because of two things. Mass and lack of knownShipwright (didn't have anyone to RE, so needed the mass). The Rhix is a great ship, but more difficult to fly.If you want to do a U-turn within the same galaxy, you need to learn throttle control. These other ships are small, avoid more hits with their maneuverability, but generally take more damage when they do get hit.

It depends on how you want to fly. Since Mastering Pilot, I have tried to retire my Rhix as a fighter and reinstate it as a Mining Ship (btw... the Rhix is EXCELLENT for mining), but still haven't found a true substitute. I tried the ARC-170, but the weapons are too far apart. Youcan never hit anything 1 on 1 (the ARC with the rear gunnersmight be good for Gunboats and the Corvette, but I haven't tried this yet). The Rhix gun locationsare the best I've flown thus far. You can get all 3 weapons to shoot in a very small concentrated location.

I am still looking for a fighter substitute. I have even considered dusting off the Dunelizzy, but who knows. I need to get my Shipwright going on my newly acquired alt before I go back to the Dune.

So what am I suggesting here... nothing. You need to find out what works best for you. Any ship can be the best or the worst based on the pilot. Good Luck!!!

The best ship is the one you have most success with.

not that this applies to you as a freelance but my fav ships so far have been the TIE Advance and Jedi Starfighter

Working with the Mass was a challeng but damn they can turn..esp the tie adv.. its too bad I lost my 20k mass and 22k output reactor tho. That thing gave me lots of power options.

Use the Rhyx. I loved that ship. tons of mass. excellent weapon placement. lacks some maneuverability, but who care about maneuverability in PvE. you will be ableto kill everything.
