What's a two letter word for a negative response?

Also, this is for a reason - Tier 3 missions don't require xp, you do the missions and get the boxes that way.

Tier 3s are meant to be group missions - not solos. Only pilots with past experience and the proper equipment will be able to solo T3s.

it wouldnt be so bad if they let you kill one spawn at a time before spawning more. i mean before ya know it there are like 10 cons in the area. i just dont understand the overkill. everything doesnt have to be a group event for cripes sake. i'm in a guild and most of them dont even like space. kinda hard to rustle up a group for something most dont care for.

Stop to think you maybe aren't supposed to stay and fight? I bet your mission objective is to pickup or deliver something to a waypoint.

yes but i need to stay alive long enough to make pickups and deliveries. getting hammered by 5-10 cons at once is a quick ending. they cant seem to miss and my shield doesnt last forever.

That's what Boosters, IFFscramble, and Cap to shield Shunt are for.

yeah but what good are boosters gonna do me when i have to stay in the area to get what i need. i also see no IFF scramble for imps nor cap to shield shunt. oh and i dont have a flight comp either since most of the DE's left my server.

i can dig that you're trying to give me ideas. i was 4/4/4/4 reb once upon a time and now am working my way up the imp trees. it was not previously this ridiculous and back then people actually wanted to fly in space so it was easy to get help. not the same anymore.

i posted for some help so i'll wait and see if i get it. if not oh well. i'll just add this to the growing list of frustrations.

What about installing a bigger engine, kiting them off 10km, and then hypering back close to the ship you're supposed to dock with? Hypering within the same sector doesn't blow the mission.

The thing about Tier 3 is that it forces you to become a better pilot. And by that I don't mean your twitch reflexes; it's all about planning, situational awareness, and loading out your ship for the mission.

I think a lot of the frustration at Tier 3 comes from the fact that the previous Tiers are dead-easy, comparatively. You're not adequately prepared for how hard it's gonna be. You learn fast, or you do the missions over and over again.

So think about changing your tactics, instead of how many ships you can bag in a 30 second window.

And we're offering you help.

As in Imperial, you're pretty much committing suicide if you don't fly with a flight comp. Engine Overload and Weapon Overcharge are what balances the TIE's low mass. You have to be running those progs to be effective, especially when dealing with multiple incoming reds. As an aside, you can use other factions droid commands (such as Cap to Shield Shunt) by getting another pilot to burn the command into a droid chip.

You may not have IFF scramble, but you can call in a bomber strike that migth distract them long enough to dock and get out.

As I said, change your tactics. Doing the same thing over and over isn't going to win the mission.

Last time I checked on Vendor Search (Bazaar -> Vendor Location) 90% of Eclipse DE stock consisted of flight computers. Doubt it's that much different on flurry.

If you spent as much time thinking about how to overcome these obstacles as you do making excuses, you'd have no problem at all.

Don't try for a moment to convince me that there aren't any DEs who can make flight computers on your server - pilots need them so there's always a market for them. And being Imperial doesn't mean you can't use privateer or even Rebel flight programs (don't tell me, let me guess... you don't have any friends, either?)

Every Imperial Ace out there is living proof that this can be done. If you don't think you can measure up, it's only because of you. I made it through 4/4/4/4 Imperial pilot with help on only ONE mission - the last Tier 3 job. All I have left to do is the Corvette.

Learn to use your tools properly and you ought to do fine - but don't expect to be handed skills when you can't properly use the ones you've got.
