Thread: can players train pilot skills?
Don't try acting all superior when you were the one who created this attempted pity party.
You complained, help was offered, you continued to make excuses - you didn't want help, you wanted people to make you feel good about yourself, to tell you it wasn't your fault, whatever.
It's not "imagined" elitism. It's a simple fact that, by your own admission, you seem incapable of accomplishing what others have done - and you're ready to throw in the towel because of it. If that's how you approach a game, you're in for a lot of other diappointments in life.
You might want to learn to be humble when accepting criticism that you asked for - because you sure have nothing to be proud of when you make excuses about it.

I did indeed mean Flight Computers.
Sorry 'bout that typo, I was in the midst of an in-depth explanation on piloting in game and had taken a break for a couple of minutes.
I'll just say that while the OP has complained, you in fact are posting pretty well over the top. No real need to be so heavy handed about it, it's kinda snotty. Maybe you're just having a crappy day, we all do.

No, I'm just sick of the pity-me, nothing-but-excuses crowd. It's one thing to admit to having difficulty with missions, it's another thing to blame everything and everyone each time someone offers a solution. And that's what the OP is doing.

I think you're generalizing, and reading too much into the original posts. There was frustration yes, a lack of mission understanding yes, an economic misconception yes, but very little actual whining and pity me. Lumping somone you don't know into that crowd based on a couple frustrated pilot posts? Yeah, your tone was over the top.
