Well...maybe if we had combat vehicles.

Otherwise, do you carry around a reactor, shield generator, and capacitor with you; all hooked up and powered up? If so, I'm all for it.

naah... if I can carry a house around in my backpack... I can just pull out my ship with a remote and set off epulse 3 4 teh w1n!!

There is a problem, though. I get the impression that'd be doing damage more to Electronics than to people, so it'd have to damage weapons, equipment, droids, etc.; without doing any health damage to the target. I suppose if the target's gun exploded due to a ground Epulse, there'd have to be damage, but it'd have to result from the reaction of the target's equipment.
