Thread: L8 engine drops.....
I recenlty (within the last 2 weeks) looted an engine, not fast but the YPR is awesome. I think this is a level 8 engine but I can't remember for sure. It would be lvl7 or a lvl9. At any rate, it has 77/78 YPR. The speed is only 78 though. I'm now looking for that hight speed loot engine I can RE with this one for the ultimate engine.....
I got this by going back to Arkon at Nym's hotel on Lok and taking the Black Sun missions. I use this mission for Loot/cash runs. When I'm low on cash or want to pickup some look I just go take this mission. start to finish usually takes me about 1.5 hours and I end up with about 200k cash and around 50 to 80 loot items.
My main goal with this mission is to pickup that Black Sun Ace Pilot helmet again.... the one that I sold for 50k when I needed cash.....Dooh..... I was such a noob...... Ok, still am.......

There are three options for speed when RE'd a level 8 engine...
1 - Nym Starmap Quest Reward Engine - Stats are random, but speed generally rangesfrom the high 80s to the high 90s.
2 - Post-nerf Freelancer Tier IV Quest Reward Engine - It has 88.5 speed before REing. Will have 92.9 speed after REing.
3 - Pre-nerf Freelancer Tier IV Quest Reward Engine - They're very rare, but if you can find one, it has 103.2 speed before REing, and 108.4 speed after REing.

Grr...my Nym engine only got 96.6 speed. Still plenty fast though, as it will RE to 101.
