From what I understand, the ship is like the YT-1300, no cockpit controlled guns.

And hey, no pissing on Mustafar! It evaporates rather quickly, and there's enough sulfur-smelling chemicals floating around there as it is.

I like it...I always did like the YT-2400 over the 1300 though. I might have to pick one up. Anyone know if it is craftable or will be a quest?

A quest, a ground one at that and a ground one which is comparably harder than the DWB apparently.

Seems weird, they got the floorplan mostly wrong from everything I've always seen, especially the hallway connecting thelounge to the cockpit, but I'm not reallyall thatsurprised. Guess it's because I was holding out such little hope they'd get it right to begin with.

Yeah it seems that wat we do remember from the game(s) and the books has had a slight creative liscence. who cares tho? SWG usually isnt as um...true...um...historicly acurate(if that term can be applied to an imaginary universe)? honestly tho i dont mind flying around in a version of Dashe's ship (rememerb folks he moded his ship too, so honestly we dont know at a stock yt-1300 ora 2400 really look like from the inside). just wish u could get leebo, or mabey let us DE make a kinda leebo. so they would auto pilot (and u can issue comands like turn and stuff to it)while u mane the turents like u had to in that one game. i digress....thanks for getting these out. screenies are always welcome....unless its of someone in hawt pants....no one looks good in those.

i'm actually quite confused. from the look of the interior IE the map and screens, it's quite bigger than the YT-1300 when in actuality the ships are relatively the same size. can we possibly get a screen of a YT-1300 and YT-2400 next to each other for comparrison?

Not anymore, at least until someone snags there 2400 when the expansion goes live. Beta closed today.

The thing is, it really makes me wonder if the Devs have ever read a Star Wars book, or played any of the old Star Wars games or in some cases even watched the movies. Admitadly, they have more "creative freedom" considering the closest to an official deckplan of the YT-2400 was a very brief view of the lounge in the Shadows of the Empire game for N64 way back when, which by those pictures the Devs never even took into consideration. All in all, it's not a bad deckplan, it's just not the way I've always pictured the YT-2400... I always thought that hallway connecting the cockpit to the rest of the ship was nothing but a bracing arm, all metal and that the cockpit access was through the other brace towards the front of the ship. The engine room looks very good to me, but I've always thought the entry was not centered, farther to Port... in fact, that ring between the two front rooms and the engine room I've never seen in any of the floorplans before.
Oh well, what's done is done. I still love the ship and want it more than anything else in the game at this point, whether they got it very different from thevision I've always had of it or not.

Bah. Why does Lucas Arts keep letting SOE's art department get away with such blasphemy. With all the resource material out there you think they could get SOMETHING right.
I swear I am going to send their art dept. a copy of the Essential Guide to Vehicles and Vessles. They need that entire lineup of books.
